Shutter (2008) is a remake of a 2004 Thai film of the same name. Shutter (2004) was written by Thai screenwriters Sopon Sukdapisit, Banjong Pisanthanakun, and Parkpoom Wongpoom. Pisanthanakun and Wongpoom also co-directed Shutter (2004). Shutter (2008) was adapted from the original script by screenwriter Luke Dawson.
