good for low budget film
paulwilliams9521 December 2005
It is almost impossible to find this film in the United States but if you can it is worth the trouble as it is better than most Hollywood productions even though it was made on a small budget. It is the true story of a Chinese dancer who looses a leg to cancer and becomes a radio talk show host for the disabled. This is the first film for Zhang Ziyi who later starred in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, House of Flying Daggers, and Memoirs of a Geisha. Her acting abilities weren't the greatest as she made this film at sixteen or so. She was chosen for it because she had trained in dance before getting into acting. But the film is still touching for such a low budget movie. See it if you can find it.
