The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (Bcrf) held its annual Symposium and Awards Luncheon yesterday, at the New York Hilton Midtown.
Hoda Kotb, Leonard Lauder, Joan Lunden
The much-anticipated event honored Bcrf-funded investigators who are devoted to ending breast cancer through groundbreaking research. The Luncheon also served as the formal announcement of $59.5 million in research grants that was awarded to more than 275 scientists, many of whom were in attendance.
Hosted by Today Show co-host and breast cancer survivor Hoda Kotb, this year’s luncheon honored Jeanne Sorensen Siegel and Herbert J. Siegel with the Sandra Taub Humanitarian Award, presented by Jessica Bibliowicz. The Jill Rose Award was given to Nancy E. Davidson, MD, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, for her trailblazing research on epigenetics and resistance to hormone therapies in breast cancer, presented by Myra Bibliowit, President & CEO of Bcrf, and Bcrf Researcher, Gabriel Hortobagyi, MD.

This may sound like a weird way to start off a review, but one of my favorite things about living on the West Coast is taking the drive between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Maybe that comes from seeing The Hills Have Eyes as a kid, where I’ve always been fascinated by folks who could possibly live in that environment, and that’s most likely why I find myself endlessly curious about all the various abandoned homes and properties you see as you drive along I-15 from Cali to Sin City (especially a few years ago when I noticed a string of odd symbols that seemed to pop up everywhere for about a 10-mile stretch—so creepy!).
Because of my tendencies to daydream about all the possibilities out there in that rain-starved terrain, you can understand how I was a pretty easy mark for Ana Lily Amirpour’s The Bad Batch: her dreamy,...

Zeremiah “Zz” Loupe, the Tough Enough 2015 runner-up who gained a fan following for his colorful character, entertaining promos, and fondness for alligator wrestling, made his in-ring debut with WWE’s Nxt brand Saturday night in Orlando, Fl.
Zz defeated Nxt competitor Christopher Girard, a skilled competitor who previously competed on the independent scene as Biff Busick.
The debut of @ToughZZ ! #NXTOrlando pic.twitter.com/IQ0NozhaEL
— Jj Williams (@JJWilliamsWON) March 26, 2016
Though the eliminations and, ultimately, the winners of last season’s Tough Enough were left entirely up to a fan vote, many viewers accused WWE of stacking the deck against Zz. Despite his young age and verbal skills, Zz’s body and athletic ability weren’t in line with WWE’s usual preferences, so to some, it seemed as if the show’s producers were subtly trying to manipulate fans into voting for other contestants.
Despite that, Zz still made it to the finals,...

Hulk Hogan received a great amount of negative publicity last Summer over racist comments he had made on a private sex tape several years ago. The story lead to Hogan being dismissed from his WWE contract during the filming of Tough Enough, and the Hulkster has been blackballed from wrestling ever since.
Hogan blames Gawker.com for what has happened, and his lawsuit against the web company will be going to trial this month.
According to multiple media reports, jury selection for the trial began on Tuesday in Tampa, Florida. Hogan is suing the company for $100 million, a figure that could vastly impact the future of the internet and Gawker depending on the jury’s eventual ruling. Hogan could certainly take the down the company for good if his lawsuit is successful.

There is a new girl on the scene as Mandy Rose arrives on Total Divas this week. Talent relations’ Mark Carrano held a mandatory meeting with the diva crew. He brings Mandy — runner-up on the Tough Enough reality competition — into the room and announces her as the newest diva. She had apparently signed a five-year deal with the company. Paige’s face tells the story of someone who is not so hot about the idea of the blonde bombshell coming aboard. Let’s just say the two didn’t see eye-to-eye on Tough Enough when Paige was a judge on the … Continue reading →

The most recent WWE Tough Enough winner has landed himself in some hot water with a since-deleted tweet that mocked the new quartet Social Outcasts.
Josh Bredl’s rash decision resulted in immediate criticism from WWE superstars, and not just the four group members.
The tweet in question read, “Yup.. I like it.. #SocialJobbers” and was later deleted, but Josh — who wrestles as Bronson Matthews — was verbally taken to the woodshed by WWE wrestlers such as Curtis Axel, Heath Slater, Adam Rose, Stardust and Kevin Owens.
While the three Social Outcast members mocked and made light of the situation, Stardust and Owens lashed out at the rookie, with Stardust tweeting, “Enjoy dressing in the hall d**k. Not blocked. Banned.” Owens blocked Matthews, tweeting “Look at the veteran here with the big fancy insider terms!”

2015 WWE Tough Enough winner Sara Lee has been increasing her size as she continues to train in the Performance Center. The Michigan-born developmental talent posted several pictures to her Instagram and Twitter showing off her increased muscle mass, accompanied by the caption ‘#gains’.
It’s obvious that Lee has been making full use of the Performance Center’s state-of-the-art fitness facilities. Despite having not yet made her Nxt debut, she looks to be getting herself into fighting shape – and a call-up could well be on the horizon.
Lee has been travelling with several Nxt workers, and recently posted a picture from a Citrus Springs meet-and-greet alongside former Nxt Tag Team Champions Aiden English and Simon Gotch – collectively known as The Vaudevillains.
The news is encouraging for the direction of women’s wrestling as a whole. With talent focusing on looking like fighters rather than supermodels, from the...

Tyra Banks announced Wednesday that this "cycle" of America's Next Top Model will be the show's last. Let's sing one somber round of "You wanna be on top," tear out our poorly maintained weaves, bleach our eyebrows, wobble in high heels, weep over our fear of heights, face the scorn of professional photographers surprised they're being asked to put up with our amateur-hour antics, and recognize that one of the greats is officially departing. When Top Model is on its game, it's one of the sublime treasures of reality contest television. The show launched in 2003, as one of the earliest incarnations of the "live in a house together and compete in feats of skill, while one of you is eliminated each week" shows. American Idol — different structure, different vibe – launched in 2002; Survivor, also different in a lot of ways, debuted in 2000. MTV's Tough Enough premiered in 2001,...

Being a professional wrestler in WWE is tough. One day you’re at the top of the company and on top of the world, and the next, you’re yesterday’s news. With ratings dropping precipitously lower, it’s not just mid-card stars who are clamoring for some TV time but bigger names as well. WWE writers are struggling to get tired, jaded fans interested in a color-by-numbers product. However, bringing in big part-time names like Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker isn’t exactly putting butts in seats, to borrow a term from the Monday Night Wars.
We all remember that one wrestler or two who got a big push, had some fire behind them (or some heel heat), and then just vanished without a trace. After all, what ever happened to Jack Swagger or R-Truth? At one point, they seemed to have blossoming careers and had a...

Once upon a time, the only British stars known in the United States were The British Bulldog and William Regal. The chance to make a name for yourself in the biggest market of them all seemed very limited, and world class British wrestlers instead made it their ambition to travel the world and wrestle full time across the globe, stopping off in Japan, Canada, South Africa and Germany.
But times have changed. The world has opened up and the internet means that a British match could be watched by a fan located anywhere in the world. In recent years, the WWE has recruited a number of British talents. Some have flourished, while others have returned home.
Right now, Paige is one of the most talked about Divas in the world, featuring on Total Divas, Tough Enough, Steve Austin’s podcast as well as being a regular on Raw and pay-per-views.

Amanda Saccomanno, or Mandy as she will be known on Total Divas and in her wrestling appearances, was the runner up of Tough Enough 2015.
Despite finishing second, WWE gave Amanda a job, mainly because they like her look and personality. Her actual in-ring wrestling ability is limited, but that is something WWE will be hoping to develop with her.
The company has high hopes that she’s going to become a major WWE Diva, and they’ve immediately shot her into fame as the new cast member of Total Divas. Interestingly, that move was at the expense of Naomi’s spot on Total Divas – meaning that Mandy is perhaps already the most resented Diva in the WWE locker room.
At only 24 years of age, her initial career trajectory and her previous history is actually a little reminiscent of the great Trish Stratus. WWE will have picked up on the similarities,...

Lita is back working full time for WWE, reports PWInsider. The legendary diva is working as a road agent, which involves helping talent plan out matches and serving as a go-between with wrestlers and the creative team.
She’s been highly visible in WWE this year, including training contestants on Tough Enough and commentating on Nxt Brooklyn’s pre-show panel. Now that she’s working backstage, expect to see that little bit more of her appearing on-screen.
There’s also talk of her taking on more of a creative role, and getting even more involved in the booking process. She’s clearly impressing people in her new role.
Lita was a four time women’s champion and one of the key divas in the Attitude Era / early to mid 2000’s period. Her merchandise sold well and she was key in the re-branding and marketing of divas as more serious competitors.

Another week, another Daniel Bryan interview, another pang of hope mixed with despair and disappointment. Ever since winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania XXX, Bryan’s career has hit something of a brick wall, as injury after injury after concussion after injury have put him out of action.
Bryan is one of the most recognisable current WWE performers, and as such tends to be at the front of any call for press and interviews, all of which inevitably lead to questions about his future. His responses have grown more and more optimistic over time. He says he is completely fine, and his doctors have echoed such thoughts.
WWE doctors are a little more apprehensive, however, and it seems more and more unlikely that we’ll be seeing Goatface back on TV wrestling any time soon. The sad reality is that if he does return, the chances...

With Sara Lee and Josh Bredle winning the $250,000 Tough Enough contracts last month, it was expected that others from the cast would find themselves lading WWE deals. Amanda has been recently signed to take part in Total Divas, and now it appears another competitor from the show is moving forward with the company.
Zamariah Loupe, best known to fans as Zz, was spotted at the WWE Performance Center on Monday, according to PWInsider. Zz took part in training sessions in the ring with other WWE developmental talents, so it appears either he has signed a deal with the company or the option is being explored.

Booker T believes that WWE Tough Enough will be back for another season, whether on the USA Network or WWE Network.
The coach for the most recent season appeared on the Wrestling Compadres podcast recently and said that if the show does return, he hopes that the format changes:
“Let the host or whoever the judges [are] actually vote the guy off because we are actually looking for the next Tough Enough winner, not the next reality [show] superstar.”
In the format of the show this year, it was the judges (Daniel Bryan, Paige and Hulk Hogan then Miz) that chose the bottom three and then the fans voted them off. Since Booker and the other coaches (Billy Gunn and Lita) actually see the contestants training, they should be the deciding vote on who gets eliminated. However, WWE likes having the fans vote as a way to make the show more interactive.

Despite a whirlwind of controversy over the summer, it appears that at least one company out there still wants to associate with Hulk Hogan.

When it comes to sports betting websites, a genre that is growing at an incredible pace, Fan Picks is not a particularly big name at the moment. Perhaps the company believes that by joining forces with the much maligned Hogan, they can gain some publicity and the investment will be worth whatever it is they are paying him.

Naomi has commented on Twitter, stating “Unfortunately we have been replaced for the 2nd time but I support my girls & wish for another successful season.”
This is a surprise move from WWE, and Naomi can’t be happy with the change. Amanda has done nothing to deserve the spot, other than losing the Tough Enough final. She has an okay look for the wrestling business, but she’s not a pro wrestler.

There is a “ton of heat” on WWE Nxt’s Blue Pants, the wrestling observer newsletter reports. Real name Leva Bates, she isn’t even under a WWE contract, but is used on a fairly regular basis.
The resentment stems from the fact she was flown in for Nxt Takeover Brooklyn, and put in an angle with Alexa Bliss. That was a spot many other full time women on the Nxt roster would have wanted. Blue Pants was getting to side with the new tag team champions against Bliss’ Blake And Murphy team. Meanwhile, full time Nxt wrestlers were left off the live special.
The heat is also about the fact that Blue Pants gets to sell her own merchandise and doesn’t have to split the cut. The belief is that she’s making more money than the Nxt women, because she’s free to do indies...

WWE has made more changes to their commentary teams on both Raw and Smackdown following the end of Tough Enough. The new permanent team on Raw will be Michael Cole, John Bradshaw Layfield and Byron Saxton. The Smackdown team will be Rich Brennan, Jerry Lawler and Booker T.
One of the notable moves is Saxton replacing Booker full time on Raw. It’s an interesting choice because Booker was in the seat for most of the year and then he was a coach on Tough Enough for a few months. It was expected that Booker would get his spot back, but WWE decided to keep Saxton there full time. Saxton was on Smackdown before that, so Booker switched with him.
The announce team for pay-per-view events will likely remain Cole, Lawler and Jbl.

Now that this season of Tough enough has drawn to a close and the winners have been chosen it’s time to take a critical look at the show and evaluate what changes could be made to improve it for future seasons. As a concept, Tough Enough is a good enough idea and when it initially aired on MTV it was an interesting show that gave viewers a small glimpse of the hard work and sacrifice it takes to become a WWE performer.
The show has now existed through several different channels and variations and this past season was possibly the least entertaining of them all. Imagine starting a new job from scratch and having cameras following your every move with viewers dictating whether you stay or go. This is exactly what the contestants of the WWE Tough Enough reality show competition had to deal with the last 10 weeks. Sara Lee, Amanda Saccomanno, Zamariah “Zz” Loupe and Josh Bredl survived eliminations, harsh critiques, physically draining challenges and training sessions to emerge the four finalists. This week it was Sara and Josh who were named Tough Enough with fans voting them as their picks to receive the $250,000 WWE contracts. Paul “Triple H” Levesque, executive vice … Continue reading →

Tough Enough wrapped up its ten episode season on Tuesday. The show earned a lot of criticism from fans due to the format for much of the season, but ultimately it was about the competition and letting the audience choose the two winners.
Josh and Sara won $250,000 each as well as one year developmental deals with WWE. At this point, nobody knows if they will be WWE superstars long term, but that’s what WWE hopes.
There were over 12,000 people that submitted videos to get on Tough Enough but only 14 of them made it to the show. Originally it was 13, but after one of the women went home they had to add another female contestant. The final 14 should be all be proud of how far they made it.

The 2015 season of WWE Tough Enough is over and the winners are Josh Bredl of Thornton, Colorado and Sara Lee of Hope, Michigan.
Triple H was on hand to present Sara and Josh with checks of $250,000 as well as one year developmental contracts with WWE.
Josh beat out Zz in the voting with 70% of the vote while Zz had 30% of the vote. Throughout the competition, Zz was the most popular competitor and was able to avoid elimination due to his strong connection with the audience. However, Josh gained steam throughout the season and was clearly the superior performer out of the final two guys.
In the vote to determine the female winner, Sara won with 64% compared to 36% for Amanda. It was pretty obvious that a lot of WWE people liked Amanda more because she’s a blonde fitness model with a great body and was solid in the ring,...

This week’s Smackdown took place in Providence, Rhode Island and featured the Dudley Boyz first match in WWE in ten years as well as a big night for the Wyatt Family.
An interesting note about the pre-Smackdown taping is that Samoa Joe and Finn Balor teamed up to beat Lucha Dragons in the Nxt Dusty Rhodes Memorial tag team tournament. Balor and Joe together sounds pretty awesome, so that’s something to look forward to on a future edition of Nxt.
Here are the results from Smackdown.
Bray Wyatt along with Luke Harper and Braun Strowman did a promo to start the show. They talked about Strowman being a new member of the Wyatt Family. Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose confronted them in the ring, but the Wyatt Family backed away to end the segment.
The Ascension did a promo ripping on the Dudley Boyz to set up their match.

(Spoiler alert: Please do not read if you have not watched Tuesday’s finale of WWE’s “Tough Enough.”) After WWE’s biggest Superstars dominated the ring Sunday at SummerSlam, the next generation of wrestling stars were named on Tuesday’s finale of “Tough Enough” airing on USA Network. The reality TV competition came down to four finalists — Josh, Zz, Sara and Amanda — with one male and one female contestant each winning a one-year, $250,000 WWE contract. Josh Bredl of Thornton, Colorado, took the winner’s belt for the men, while Sara Lee of Hope, Michigan, was the victor among the women.

Four remain on Tough Enough with two receiving $250,000 WWE contracts live 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25. Sara Lee and Zamariah “Zz” Loupe hope it will be them. The fan favorites have survived because they have resonated with audiences. Their groundswell of support has grown, despite not progressing as quickly as the rest of the field. Where they lack in physical areas they have made up for in personality. Sara and Zz joined their fellow remaining cast members Josh Bredl and Amanda Saccomanno in New York City for the SummerSlam week festivities. The finale of WWE Tough Enough next Tuesday will see guest appearances from WWE superstars Cesaro and Alicia Fox. Cesaro will have matches with Josh and Zz while Fox will have matches with Amanda and Sara.
So far on the show, the competitors have just done basic stuff in terms of matches. They actually had matches in front of Nxt wrestlers a few weeks ago, but they were edited and only ran about two minutes long with basic moves like bodyslams used as finishers.

After ten weeks of training, the hope is that maybe they can put together a decent match that can impress the WWE Universe, who will have the final vote to determine the one male and one female winner of Tough Enough.
Here’s a video of the coaches telling the contestants about their opponents:...

This week on WWE Network’s Tough Talk show that follows Tough Enough, Amanda was interviewed and while she was talking about her competitor Sara, she called her a ring rat.
A ring rat is an insider term in the wrestling business that has been used for years to reference women that sleep with wrestlers, basically the industry’s version of groupies. It drew a huge reaction and according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE’s web department was given word that the term “ring rat” is banned from any stories on the web site
Here’s what Amanda said about Sara: “I get a rep because of the way I look, and I think it’s kind of funny because maybe the reason she’s so ‘likable,’ because instead of being at the barracks every weekend practicing her moves, she’s playing ring rat.” What she was...

This second last episode of this season of WWE Tough Enough aired on Tuesday as the three male contestants did all they could to earn the support of the WWE Universe voting to keep them alive on the show. Josh had 46% of the vote, Zz earned 34% and Tanner was last at 20% of the vote, which means that Tanner is eliminated from the show.
Tanner had a background in Mma and was clearly the best athlete on the show from the beginning. However, his problem is that he lacked charisma and a strong personality, which is something the coaches and judges kept harping on throughout the competition.
During the Tough Talk show on WWE Network after Tough Enough airs, judge Daniel Bryan said that he almost used his save on Tanner because he really admires his work ethic, but he chose not to. If Bryan used the save, it...

WWE is bringing back the Diva Search to WWE Network this year, but they are still working on the structure of the show, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The format was going to be like Tough Enough likely with a host, coaches and judges, but WWE has recognized the issues they have with the Tough Enough. They feel like since the format hasn’t worked that well that they need to make some changes to what they had planned for the Divas Search.
Since WWE hasn’t announced anything in terms of a casting call or application process, they may have a tough time fitting in this year. It takes time to set something up like that. Perhaps there will be some sort of formal announcement in the coming weeks after Tough Enough is over at the end of August.

Ever since it debuted nearly one year ago in October of 2014, Lucha Underground has been, arguably, the best wrestling show on television. That’s due, in part, to the incredible production value of the show, and the gritty, stylized, even noirish feel of the universe it establishes, but the performers are great as well. With its considerable production costs, Lucha Underground couldn’t exactly afford to pull a Tna and hire any and all former WWE performers they can in hopes of attracting a mainstream audience. Instead, Lu opted to assemble a truly eclectic roster of Tough Enough competitors, West Coast indy standouts, Aaa luminaries, and, yes, a few WWE expatriates, but only those that fit into the milieu that they’ve strived to create. Each of these wrestlers has been rated based upon their in-ring skills, their character/gimmick work, and their overall performance throughout season one of Lucha Underground.

If you thought Keeping a contract with WWE was a tough prospect when they’re all too happy relegating genuine talents to the mid-card and ushering others off to future endeavours, you should try getting one in the first place.
With Nxt, Tough Enough and WWE Diva Search it may seem like there are plenty of opportunities to break into the main roster of Vince’s big project. Sadly though, it’s a mine-field of eye-wateringly epic proportions. Even the prospect of getting to a tryout would be enough to make some wannabe grapplers cry, let alone making it through the punishing boot-camp.
It’s probably best to think of it as the most cliche-ridden army boot-camp, with R. Lee Ermey barking orders and firing tear gas at you simultaneously. Similar to learning karate at Cobra Kai. And even as your legs are bursting, you’re coughing up...

In a word: Yes.
Daniel Bryan’s welcome presence on Raw wasn’t a huge surprise, given that we were in his home state of Washington. Still, the live crowd showed that Bryan is as popular as ever, despite his extended layoff.
Talking of layoffs, there’s still no sign of John Cena or his busted nose, other than the cringeworthy talking mock-up on the titantron courtesy of the man whose botch has put their SummerSlam match in doubt – Seth Rollins.

The second biggest match at this year’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view event was going to be WWE Champion Seth Rollins vs. Us Champion John Cena, but it might not happen due to Cena’s broken nose that required surgery a few weeks ago due to an errant high knee by Rollins.
The backup plan if Cena can’t compete is to have WWE Champion Rollins defend the title against Randy Orton and Sheamus in a triple threat match, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
Triple H revealed on Raw that Cena was 50/50 in terms of his chances of making it to the match and apparently that’s a real number. That’s why this week’s Raw ended with Orton nearly beating Rollins and then Sheamus nearly cashing in on Rollins. Opening promo duties went to Roman Reigns, who issued a “Family vs Family” challenge with him and Dean Ambrose taking on Bray Wyatt and Luke Harper at SummerSlam. That’s the match that most of us expected. Rusev showed up to trash talk Reigns about their match later in the show.
Mark Henry and the Prime Time Players beat The New Day with Henry getting the pin with the World’s Strongest Slam. After the match,...
This week’s Smackdown taping took place in Sacramento, California. It featured a limited WWE roster because many of them were getting ready to fly to Australia for live events over there, so there were people that wrestled more than once and will likely have several video packages to help fill the time as well.
Here are the results from the show.

This season of Tough Enough is down to six people as Chelsea Green was voted off the show this week. You might remember Chelsea from when she was on Raw last year as Daniel Bryan’s physical therapist that the heels said had an affair with him.
It seemed as though there was a plan to nominate three women since this week’s episode started with four women and three men. Judge Daniel Bryan nominated Giorgia for elimination, Paige picked Sara and The Miz picked Chelsea even though she’s actually a trained wrestler. Paige was mad at him for not picking Amanda, which again shows that they were probably told to pick the women.
Prior to the final vote, the judges were asked if they wanted to save somebody. Since Miz used his save last week to save Amanda (the hot one), he couldn’t do a save,...

WWE released a video this week of Tough Enough trainer Billy Gunn yelling at one of the contestants for about two minutes and thirty seconds. The contestant he yelled at was the 18 year old Zamariah “Zz” Loupe, who has been able to avoid eliminations week after week due to his strong personality, even though physically he’s not in the kind of shape that WWE wants their superstars to be in.
According to F4Wonline, the clip was released publicly because WWE officials want Zz gone from the show after this week. Dave Meltzer claimed WWE set things up for Zz to be gone last week, but fans weren’t manipulated the way they expected, so Zz wasn’t eliminated.
During last week’s elimination, Zz got the most votes to stay while Mada went home even though he was one of the best guys on the show.

World Wrestling Entertainment officials are currently looking for a new Latin female star to be a face of the company, reports the Wrestling Observer. They are looking for somebody with sex appeal and Spanish speaking skills, and for someone who can be front and centre in helping to expand WWE’s Latin audience.
It’s a no brainer for WWE to want to get a Latin star since that’s a big percentage of the fanbase, especially in the Us. They had a popular Latin diva in Melina Perez in the mid to late 2000s, but she’s been out of the company for about five years and they need a new star. Lucha Underground
What’s interesting about this is that Lucha Underground has two Latin female stars in Catrina (Karlee Perez) and Ivelisse, both of whom worked for WWE. When Catrina was in WWE she was...

WWE Tough Enough is currently in its fifth season, airing each Tuesday night on the USA Network. The show is a mix of pre-taped footage from the previous week, and a live elimination ceremony similar to American Idol. Contestants live at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fl, and go through weekly challenges outside of the center while learning the basics of wrestling in the center. Their trainers are Billy Gunn, Lita and Booker T. They are then judged by the live panel of judges, consisting of Daniel Bryan and Paige. Hulk Hogan was originally the third judge, but after the racism scandal, he was replaced by The Miz, although it’s unclear whether it’s a permanent replacement or not. The judges each pick one contestant to be eligible to be eliminated (each judge has a save per season), and the viewers vote on who they want to stay.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Hulk Hogan was originally scheduled to be the guest on the Steve Austin WWE Network podcast on August 3rd. The podcast, set to take place immediately following Raw, will now feature WWE Diva and Tough Enough judge, Paige, instead.
The youngest ever Divas Champion will no doubt be there to promote WWE’s declining reality TV show. With all due respect to here, this is obviously a step down from Hogan, in terms of fan interest. After all, Hogan and Austin are two of WWE’s biggest ever names and the prospect of seeing them verbally spar would have certainly drawn people to the programme.
Austin and Hogan have had a strained relationship in the past, with The Texas Rattlesnake partially blaming Hogan over his lack of push in WCW in the mid-90s. When Hogan returned to WWE in...

It was always going to happen. From the moment Hulk Hogan’s racist rant was leaked, it was only a matter of time before the internet sprang into action. Nobody is safe from mockery in the social media age, especially if they’ve done something controversial enough to deserve it, and the past few days have seen Hogan subjected to all manner of ridicule – from the slapstick to the offensive.
The furore surrounding Hogan will eventually die down, as all things do, but his WWE career looks to be over. The promotion have fired him from his role as an ambassador (and Tough Enough judge), and look to have erased all trace of his name from the current product.
