The interest in this picture centers in the intelligence of the elephant. This big beast is Otto's pal and they are both in trouble together, one being much in debt and the other having been attached by the sheriff because of said debts. Big Otto leads his old friend and together they escape. The elephant enters a freight car and drags his master after him. They arrive in a town where there is a baker shop. After a night's rest the big pal makes a raid on the loaves of bread and then rushes the growler at the town pump. The almost human naturalness of this big beast's doings makes them delightfully funny. It is a very good comedy. Perhaps it is too slight to serve as a feature; but it has the right quality and will surely be popular. It is not quite full length; is very well photographed and the audience liked it. - The Moving Picture World, February 10, 1912
