A saga of a green couch. You won't be disappointed as you share its terminal ride with Hank and Reed.
rallye1310 February 2006
A Marvelous little film consisting of several vignettes depicting, in a flashback technique, the life trials and tribulations of a green couch - hence the title - as it is laboriously hauled to its final destination. The semi-derelict, but lovable Hank and Reed have devised a plan to rid themselves of the well traveled, ratty green 1972 or was it a 73 Fenster Hide-a-bed that has unavoidably come into their possessing.

The creative couch vignettes are stand alone episodes shot in distinct film styles; done by different directors, cast and for the most part, crew. The episodes are logically and humorously tacked together by the exploits of Hank and Reed on their journey to dispose of "Le Divan Vert."

North End Films has used an amalgam of local talent and indie film makers to create a memorable feature film that offers something for everyone. Although production values and directing skills are somewhat uneven, the fun storyline, lively music and some talented character actors move it along at an enjoyable pace to its rewarding conclusion.

Viewers will certainly find themselves sharing an ear-to-ear grin with Hank and Reed at the uplifting end of the green couch. . . just don't mention squirrels.
