The following was pulled directly from the Movie website:
"With the addition of our last effects shot from our post-production whiz, Matt Heeren at e-motion.digital, and with supplementary work from John Hansen and Candace Yorioka, HauntingVillisca is complete! This intriguing and very moving story has come to life with wonderful acting that brings out the humanity of the piece. It is extremely gratifying to have a Director's Cut of the finished movie. To our cast, crew and investors, we extend our deep thanks; for your professionalism, your patience and your support as we've worked to reach this next level of the movie's life.
What follow are some answers to anticipated questions:
When's the official World Premiere?
Now that the picture is complete, we must take care to launch it as effectively as possible. The cast and crew screening of the work-in-progress that was held at the Wild Rose Independent Film Festival last October did not affect our distribution strategy, since it wasn't open to the public. An official World Premiere, however, must be considered as part of the larger marketing scheme. We will coordinate the premiere with our distribution plans, and let everyone know when we have more information. Now, we will be re-contacting several distributors who have already shown interest in the picture. We're also going to be contacting others whom we felt it best to approach after we had a finished product. In the event that a distributor makes an offer, we want to be able to work with them on figuring out the kind of premiere event that will put the movie out in the world most effectively.
It really helps to have a finished product with a buzz already out there. So, email your friends and tell them to visit our site and sign up for updates. Have them go on IMDB and other websites and blogs and post support of the movie. Let's make sure that the world has heard of Haunting Villisca.
What about film festivals?
We're now submitting to festivals, many of which expressed interest in Haunting Villisca, but wanted finished films. We still need to consider our marketing strategy and allow for a World Premiere at a larger festival. If a distributor or producer's rep gets involved, we can revise the festival strategy."
