A pointless freebie that is unfunny and unsexy in the extreme
Coming free with the men's magazine Maxim, this DVD offers sexy behind the scenes material from photo-shoots, live erotica and more. The cover features sexy scenes with Abi Titmuss (the girl who made the sex tape) and Jennifer Ellison (the former soap actress now most famous for not wearing clothes much) and the usual mix of humour and fun.
I am not a subscriber to any men's magazines mainly because I think that the sore core material they serve up with loads of filler regarding cars and injuries is of limited interest to me. However, every month or so, I will see a cover that has some material of interest and I'll pick it up for a skim, however they are mostly very poor in terms of material. With Maxim, copies were kicking around work and I decided to take the free DVD home for a lend, thinking it must be pretty hot to be rated 18 and expecting it to be crammed with some real sore core thrills not bad for free I thought! However, playing it for longer than 5 or so minutes reveals this to be just like the majority of the magazines, in that it is full of poor laddish attempts at humour and loaded with coldly posed, semi-naked celebrities. Here we open with a collection of "real" girls who pose semi-naked with phone numbers for us to "vote" to see them naked next time. This is followed by a couple of "funny" scenes where the Maxim office is shown to be full of focused young men and secretaries in their underwear while other offices are full of queers and old women it is as unfunny and offensive as it sounds. The death of Princess Diana and Michael Hutchence are acted out using dogs and again this is just stupid and unfunny. The heralded presence of Ellison and Titmuss is just a couple of photo-shoots filmed without any value you'll see them pose in "sexy" poses but really they just come off as snobby, bored and very remote. One final section is the usual "fresh off the boat" section, which gets foreign girls to undress they pout and preen all they can but it is still unsexy and pointless.
Overall this is a fairly pathetic offering that provides nothing of any real value I doubt even he very desperate and needy would get off from the nudity on show here as even the most average soft-core film would provide more. The photo-shoot material is pretty cold and doesn't provide any insight into the process, it is simply the case of a camera being left rolling while it all takes place. Attempts at humour are poor and home videos that are supposedly "sexy" are just cheap and tacky. The whole affair is puerile, silly and offensively simplistic considering the effort it must take to put this together, you'd think somebody could bother to make it actually funny, actually sexy or at least interesting, maybe then it would be worth seeing.
