Splendid work was done by all in the cast

This is a two-reel production, directed by Fred Wright in his ablest manner, and which does him credit. It is a tale of love and devotion which ends happily, though the audience is held in suspense as to the ultimate termination. The plot is somewhat conventional, marrying out of one's set. It has many pathetic touches which rivet the close attention of the observer. The lead is played unctuously by A.O. Penn, and Lillian Wiggins did some fine work as the daughter of a rich family and afterward the wife of a poor man. Splendid work was done by all in the cast. The many scenes were judiciously selected and beautifully lighted. The finale is touching and tender. It is a meritorious offering to the public and exhibitor. - The Moving Picture World, February 28, 1914
