Sex & Nudity

  • A couple are obviously in a relationship although they never announce that they are.

Violence & Gore

  • The destruction and mayhem portrayed in this movie can be compared to a Godzilla movie.
  • American planes shoot an unidentified plane which was carrying a bomb (presumably atomic or nuclear). The plane is shot down and spirals toward the arctic ground, the plane hits the ground and an atomic explosion occurs.
  • The arctic ground starts cracking and the snow flies everywhere. A giant turtle awakens and crawls out of his icy tomb. The turtle (Gamera) walks toward a japanese shipping vessel and destroys it. The crew is shown dorwing in water or crushed by rubble.
  • Gamera knocks down a lighthouse, while a 12 year old kid tangles from it's height, Gamera does catch the kid when he falls, but the lighthouse is stull demolished.
  • The camera shakes in many scenes and noises are heard, this is depicted that Gamera is heading toward a power plant (as we're told through a character's dialogue).
  • Tanks and other military personel prepare for gunfire in a few scenes, ready for Gamera's appearance.
  • The military reset a power line so the power is at a 350,000 kilowatt output. Gamera destroys the power line, fire erupts, sparks are flying, but no effect on Gamera.
  • Tanks and guns are fired at Gamera. Gamera destroys a nuclear power plant in the process. Debree is flung in the air.
  • Multiple scenes of Gamera destroying Tokyo and other cities. Planes, tanks, and other military personal have no effect on Gamera.
  • A train is used as a weapon. The tanks on the train are filled with a gas and each train car explode on Gamera.
  • Gamera is lured into a shuttle and is shot into space.

Profanity

  • Very little profanity. Some arguments take place with minor insults.
  • Few uses of "Shut up", "Idiot", and "Stupid".
  • A man on the news is called a "jackass".

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A few people in a Pan American flight smoke cigars.
  • A scene takes place at a dance club where wine is served. The building is destroyed by Gamera.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Gamera gets a few up-close facial shots. His facial features might scare some viewers. The features include fangs and fire breath.
  • Gamera can fly with rocket jets shooting from the holes of his shell. This might shock some viewers.
  • The scenes where people are killed may be unsettling to some viewers.
  • A kid is hanging for his life at a lighthouse that is almost destroyed, but suprisingly, Gamera saves his life.
