    No, no, no, no

Well, the Amazon movies have steadily decreased in overall goodness. Seriously, this short film isn't good at all. What's going on? The dad is busy, and somewhat mean, and he finds his daughter's tooth? What was the point of that other than having Chris Noth crawl around a house and show off Amazon's products for the home. Oh wait, that was the point! At least Portrait had a moral. I liked the characters and it was hilarious. Even Agent Orange had a nice ending. What's not to say that this dad, exhausted from his night long search, won't just get up and forget about everything the next day. Heres my question: Why didn't the wife just do it? The dad was already up fixing the sink, and now he's got to deal with this? Stop being lazy! Maybe I'm reading to much into this, but I just think that this is the worst one yet.

    Great laugh

This was the first amazon shorts I watched through the end. Chris's search for the tooth was both heart warming and funny. More importantly it held my attention and I joined in on the search. For the fifteen minutes it contained all the characteristics of a good feature length film, HUMOR- observing the antics a father would go through to fulfill his daughter's hopes, SUSPENSE - the thought patterns of child's mind and nail biting DRAMA - as a watched the search I kept wondering - would he find? or would his daughter be disappointed?. I commend the writer and director for depicting what could have been a very dry subject in a very appealing manner. It was like a good book - once opened you don't ever want to put it down. More importantly, the length's I had to go through to set up an account with IMDb, cast a vote and write this comment says it all.

    OK...I liked it...fun & well done

OK...not haute cinema but I did like it. Chris Noth did a excellent job as "the Dad". There were many nice little touches. The supporting cast was good, truly supporting and not intrusive. The product placement was nearly invisible. Thankfully, they do not hit you over the head with it. Amazon.com's series of "artful commericals" is quite appealing to me. It is fresh and different. It is catching my eye.

I especially enjoyed the theme of what to do with your child's artwork, trash compactor or frame each and every "piece".

This short was quick, clever and amusing. The things that I look for in a short film.

    Well done.

    Cute.

Heartwarming but extremely predictable, which made this film short a bit tedious. None of the actions that the Dad goes through is remarkable... all the objects he rummages through are for sale on Amazon. Nonetheless, "Tooth Fairy" doesn't have the tones of a commercial.

The soundtrack is whimsical, teasing smiles out of the audience. The music seems to push the plot along.

As for the acting, it was realistic but by no means outstanding or unusual.

A neat perspective on North American family dynamics. The family dog's expressions are vividly captured.

To summarize in a single word: "Cute."

    Excellent!

I think Chris Noth did a wonderful job in portraying the lengths a loving father would go to make sure his daughter can continue to believe in the magic of the tooth fairy. It was also nice to see an inter-racial couple as this aspect of American life is too often ignored in the entertainment field. The hiding places were clever, especially the fish tank and "under something blue" - things a small child would think of. The music was perfect - childlike but fit the actions the actor was taking - and the house looked like a real house - not a set. All parents have played a variation of this game at some point with their kids - it brought a smile to my lips - thanks!
