And, the eerie case files continue in the third documentary series from HBO's AUTOPSY, this time we get stories of a girl barely surviving a brutal rape(and how bite marks, a car wreck, and the license plate number 420 brought the rapist fiend to justice), the solved murder of a missing singer(whose American Band Stand song, THE CHEATER, was a popular hit)found hidden in a cistern under a flower box the killer built, a shoe impression on the throat and non digested food link themselves to a known criminal, and the seriously disturbing massacre of a family at the hands of the mother(the husband was arrested and spent ten months confined because he's an obvious suspect until forensic pathology uncovered a different pattern implicating the mother, who had a history of a mental disorder). Definitely potent enough to give you the willies, the Sam Kastanis Case(we see the photos of the bloody crime scene with all the kids murdered in heinous fashion), in particular, stays with you. The Black Widow case, where a near fatal arsenic poisoning almost kills a pastor, really tingles the spine as we see that once the police started probing the wife, a history of dead(themselves victims of arsenic poisoning as toxicology reports would soon explain)reveals her to be a serial killer of those who loved her. As I have mentioned elsewhere, we really see the dark side of human nature and the evil that mankind can do. I've learned that women can even be more cold blooded than men in slowly killing someone without mercy.
