Elder is an excellent little film about two young Mormon missionaries. It covers what their spiritual journey is like, and some of the trials they face. Only slightly more dramatized.
The acting is a little one-sided. The lead, (Meekin) completely steals the show. His reverence for the part and his soft-spoken naive mannerisms make his character stand out brilliantly. The other actors hold their own just fine. Perhaps one or two shaky lines, nothing too objectionable. But it's a good cast overall.
The film truly is just plain good. It gets you emotional, and keeps you interested. I would recommend this film to anyone with high praise.
