Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • About 80 minutes in, many shoulders are shot and blood splatters everywhere. It's the goriest scene in the movie and it's pretty unexpected and violent.
  • Captain Mike's tugboat comes under fire during WWII. Dead bodies float in the water, and the tugboat violently crashes into a ship. Mike has several bloody bullet holes through his torso.
  • A woman falls down a flight of stairs while pregnant. Blood appears near her open legs.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • About halfway through, many bodies are seen floating with some blood, as an aftermath of a world war 2 fight. Many others (including Benjamin) are shot at an many many people on the boat are shot and killed very graphically but brief. Blood sprays on walls and spurts out of wounds. Surprising scene as the first half was particularly chill, so the tone changes for a couple minutes. And the half is more depressing and serious.
  • At the end, the infant Benjamin Button closes his eyes and dies.
