Royalty gets schooled...

Warning: Spoilers
Originally a right royal segment on the excellent 'Your Mother wouldn't like it' sketch show, this satire of both Grange Hill and the House of Windsor still manages to raise juvenile giggles 30 years later.

Series 1 retains the ensemble cast approach of it's origins and focuses on princes William and Harry - exploring what's now possible with it's own dedicated time slot.

Series 2 is possibly peak Palace Hill by doing more with a slimmed down core of characters including school bully-turned-anti hero Nick Knuckle, self-confessed boring (but entertaining) school captain Mandy, the one-man cockney mafia Chelsea Bun, royal princess Beatrice, her friend/hired help Binky Spoon, 1940s evacuee (and inventor of the Time 'Khazi') Jimmy and the teenage scourge of the 1940s (and then 90s) Margaret Thatcher.

Series 3 replaces Chelsea and Beatrice with a pupil called 'Chaz' and an alien posh girl called 'Di' and their (aptly) forced romance. With the core cast reduced to 6 (sadly no Mandy and her rivalry with Maggie) and the sci-fi elements being less subtle, series 3 feels pretty much removed from series 1 however this is where the show ends.
