My girlfriend I went and saw this movie a few weeks ago and we both thoroughly enjoyed it! Although the movie has some absolutely amazing footage of tornado's the film isn't just about chasing storms. It follows a really good plot as it focuses in on the stories of the two main characters. It gets you really involved into the movie. I would literally get anxious each time they'd start off on a new chase, or get anxious in anticipation of how the professors would react when they learned of their daredevil-like stunts. This is definitely one the best documentaries I have seen. The footage was excellent, the commentaries were excellent, and the storyline was excellent. Highly recommended!
I was throughly disappointed with Tornado Glory. Having lived in Oklahoma and attended University there, I thought that this documentary would have been on par level with the scientific insight that the University of Oklahoma is known for, particularly in regarding severe weather reason. It wasn't. Instead, it focused on persons who had personality conflicts with one another spliced in with generic storm shots. Not to sound totally cruel, but Uwe Bolls films are known for this type of style, so this is something to consider for Mr. Coles next production. Anyway, the life of storm chasers is not very interesting, after all, they are just people. If this documentary would have channeled that focus in to more of a scientific interest, then it would have been more intriguing rather than tedious and garish.
