I generally enjoy Michael Ninn's art/porn but this animated attempt at offensiveness left me cold. He's probably lucky it's lapsed into obscurity.
Made for the European PRIVATE porn label, it simultaneously satirizes blaxploitation films with ultra-stereotypes and reflexively lampoons cheap-jack porn videos. Production is a waste of money, as 3-D computer animators in Hong Kong, Russia and Singapore contribute underwhelming results.
A couple of Black dudes Darnell Johnson and Chlovee Crawford are micro-budget pornographers, funded by grotesque club owner Big Mama. She gives them $850 for a super-production, of which they plan to bring it in for a negative cost under 100 bucks. Clearly Ninn and company spent a whole lot more, but to my mind in vain.
The targets of jive-talking Afro-Americans and untalented porn artistes are so easy that the film is unfunny and uncreative as well. Ninn pads its abbreviated 52-minute running time with plenty of repeat footage (even the voice tracks are annoyingly repeated over & over), especially his usual gimmick of replaying money shots three or four times for good measure. The worst padding, however, is to interrupt the story with commercial pitchman messages, selling lubricant or other junk, always in poor taste.
A Black audience would naturally be mighty offended at this atrocity, but supposedly the onus of racism and prejudice is taken away (magically) by having everything animated. I don't buy that logic, and Ninn succeeded in his attempt to offend me too, though I have no skin in the game.
But he failed miserably at his prime directive, namely to create something sexy. The animation is on the level of several other videos in the marketplace, notably PINKS (car-racing porn opus!), but for some reason his animation team could not master the simple art of depicting penetration. So the film plays more or less as softcore, with no blow jobs shown and all the humping scenes suggested rather than as explicit as one would expect. Given the idiotic money shots, this is a real drawback. For well-animated 3-D porn I would suggest the popular Japanese short hentai films, notably LEWD CONSULTATION ROOM.
Much of the action is mixed-combo, with a German stud named Roc Hard doing the lion's share of humping. I suspect the director made a big emphasis of Roc having the biggest dick, bigger than the Black characters, to prove a point. The women are given larger-than-life builds, but generally the fantasy element is unimaginative here, used mainly for sight gags. A mafioso dwarf as the bad guy muscling in on our heroes' porn empire adds another dimension of poor taste. Leaving no stone unturned, there is a mincing gay Black character thrown in for some bad jokes, too.
Alexander Michaels thinks he's funny voicing both lead roles Johnson and Chlovee, essentially talking to himself for most of the film. Aaron Badman overdoes the characterization of Big Mama - perhaps a visit from Martin Lawrence will cure him.
