Review
In a moment when most Mexican feature and short film output reflects common place themes such as kidnapping, drug related crime, misery, low life, prostitution etc., it's refreshing to find films that gives us hope and touch our hearts with difficult subjects like sickness and dead without loosing a sense of humor, and shows us friendship and passionate love as most important values.
Dany Saadia gives us a story that could be told in any language, any place, any time... which goes to show that you need not use and abuse ethnic flavor to appeal to international festival audiences and rather aim to be universal and true to yourself to really leave a mark.
I was amazed with the quality of the production, specially the photography and the music, and was surprised to learn from a friend that it was shot in HD. I though it was 35 mm!!!
