MOVIE > as it's about musicians, title means deafness
lamegabyte29 July 2015
I'm not totally sure but Devinn Lane may be another Penthouse discovery. She was the pet of the month for October 1999 so during my subscription and i checked her shoot: it indeed features her exciting pose when she uses her whole tongue in her climax ! If it's not Penthouse, she got into my radar surely following up another shoot, this time with DDG website run by another famous Penthouse photographer: in this one, she does the same pose with her tongue in a dark leather ! In all cases, Devinn is a stunning brunette : with her big boobs and cold attitude, she has a dark magnetism that she uses with great talent in sex. Later i caught her again when she was in the TV reality show « 7 lives Xposed » in which she was totally incredible : lesbian, interracial, threesome, strap-on with women or men ! I don't know what she's doing now but as she has always proved she was autonomous and in charge, i'm sure she is getting a decent, happy life !

Unfortunately this video is not her best because there is too much things that go wrong… For a movie in the music business, the soundtrack is just awful. Sure i didn't expect John Williams but those piano and violins are excruciating ! Next, St Croix (AKA the clone of #49 Jessica's husband) is not at his best as he plays again a dark, manipulative character. Next the girls are just plain (Carrera) or look like boyish Frankestein (all the others) ! In that disaster, Devinn is really the only good thing to happen ! She gives all her energy into that but the director keeps her clothed and when she is done with her strap-on, her dumb female partner doesn't know how to use it properly ! So it's a waste and you can look for another good movie with Devinn !

Excellent Brad opus, with fine acting and writing.

Brad Armstrong shares screenplay credit with Allyson Smith (they also collaborated on "Skin Deep") and the results are among his better Wicked features. Devinn Lane and Steven St. Croix both score highly in the acting department.

This is a serious movie, albeit pornographic, concerning a martinet of an orchestra conductor/composer as played in wonderfully sarcastic style by St. Croix, who falls for his new cellist, Devinn Lane. Early sexy shots of her sawing away at her instrument, spreadeagled in her orchestra chair vaguely reminded me of a far different erotic film in this genre, the wonderful '70s sex comedy starring reigning Euro sex star Laura Antonelli and comedian Lando Buzzanca, a surprising drive-in movie hit in America that helped launch her estimable export career here.

But Brad is not in a comical mood, instead painting a picture of extreme sexual harassment in the workplace not unlike today's scandal headlines, but set in the world of classical music.

Lane objects to Steven's bad behavior but ultimately succumbs, her career being on the line. She becomes something of a muse for him, and the movie's intensity is well-controlled by Armstrong, working with a fine cast that includes Aria (perfect name for the assignment) as an ultra- sexy violinist as well as fellow musician Jessica Drake and perfectly selected Bridgette Kerkove as a whore he picks up on the street by Steven to service Devinn in the backseat of his limo. Asia Carrera also has some fine dramatic moments as the maestro's put-open wife, and the theme of his impotence (both musically and in bed) is well developed.

Previous IMDb reviewer trashed the musical score but that is clearly a matter of taste, as I found it both appropriate to the material and invigorating. This was a 4-day shoot, not one of Brad's blockbuster productions, but quite rewarding.
