Sex & Nudity

  • Some extremely mild sex references and innuendos, not frequent. One instance involves a woman having a shower she takes off her clothes and we see her bare legs as she walks to the shower.
  • Some romantic relationships between characters including a love triangle.
  • Some kissing.
  • The Angel's wear tight clothing revealing their physique.
  • Flirting and mild sexual tension between Captain Scarlet and Destiny Angel. They act somewhat sensual around one another.
  • A woman asks a man to come to her quarters later implying they'll have sex, this doesn't happen as they're called into action.
  • Men talk about joining spectrum because "all the pilots are babes".
  • Some cleavage shown, never drawn to or sexualised.

Violence & Gore

  • Pretty violent for a children's show, people are shot with some mild to moderate blood.
  • Some scenes where dead bodies can be seen with little to no blood shown.
  • People are killed and replicated by the Mysterons.
  • Some injuries after actions scenes such as bloody noses and scars.
  • A mans neck is snapped off screen.
  • Hand to hand combat fight sequences throughout.
  • Some shootouts with lazer guns and occasionally with military weapons. Nothing graphic in anyway.
  • The show is full of action sequences and fight scenes.
  • People are shot and killed off screen.
  • A man is crushed in a car. This is largely off screen but disturbing for a show aimed at children.

Profanity

  • mild profanities such as 'damn' 'hell' and 'God'.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • None maybe some mild smoking and drinking but it's mostly implied outside of a few scenes where it is shown.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The show has some episodes that may scare younger audiences, one episode has the crew entering a Mars base, the base is littered with dead bodies and dim lighting. It builds to the reveal of killer robot that attempts to the kill the protagonists.
  • The Mysterons may frighten small children.
  • Killer robots, shape shifters and armies of aliens/martians known as the Mysterons who kill humans and replicate them.
  • Lots of exciting action scenes.
  • The show has themes of politics, nuclear armageddon, conspiracies, interception and alien invasion.
  • One episode has a town taken over by the Mysterons and another episode has a creepy old woman replicated by the Mysterons. May scare small children.
  • (Deleted. Personal opinions about ratings are not appropriate for the Parents Guide.)
  • Enemies can be scary and intimidating.
