A man and a woman are alone in a bedroom together. the woman removes all of her clothes in front of the man (Nothing but her back and the side of her breast is shown). She climbs into bed with the man, they kiss and she climbs on top of him. The scene is then cut. No sex is shown.

a man and woman are shown together in bed after making love. they have a conversation under the covers. no nudity is shown.

A guard is questioned by the villian after torturing an old man for information. (We come in after the torture has already finished and the victim is dead). The Guard gives the villian what information they could extract from the old man before he died. The villian however is not satisfied with the guard's answer and decapitates him. This is only implied and not shown. Some blood is spattered but no gore is shown.

two bar scenes are shown and a little drinking is seen. Drinking is not excessive nor are there any scenes of drunkenness.

Once at Roke Island Ged witnesses a fellow wizardry student being stabbed in the hand with a steak knife. The student whimpers and screams dramatically then later the stabbing is shown to have been faked. Might be frightening to young children.

while at Roke Ged consents to a sorcerer's duel at midnight and summons the spirit of Lady Elferren, an evil spirit; at first she rebukes him saying "what have you done" and then suddenly transforms into a winged, bat like demon. She attacks him and scratches his face. this scene is very intense and frightening.

after being exiled from roke Ged is chased by the gebbeth, a disfigured intensely frightening demon; this scene is VERY scary.

each meeting with the gebbeth becomes more and more frightening and intense.

A maid in the order of the priestesses is strangled and is later found hanging from the ceiling of her cell. This is very intense.

a woman is impaled by a sword and killed.

The entire film has very intense and frightening sequences and would be too scary for young children.
