In 2000 the Los Angeles District Attorney prosecuted the makers of this film under the Child Pornography Prevention Act, saying that its depiction of underage teenagers, even though the actresses playing them were over 18, violated the Act. The case was dismissed when the US Supreme Court declared the Child Pornography Prevention Act unconstitutional in that it was too vaguely and broadly written.
