His heart is in the right place but!

I myself am a born again Christian and a firm believer of the bible as the truth and the only way.It a great guidelines to a better life because without Jesus in my life i would still be lost(notice i said I). I have seen this program once and thats all i need to see, these two gentlemen mean well but their views in how a person should live their l is a bit twisted, who are we as men to ask people questions that God will be asking at that person judgment day?Jesus wants his servants to spread the gospel and to tell those who want to hear it.There a few scriptures in the bible i could throw out there about judging people and something about telling my brother about the speck in his eye when i have lumber in mine. There are plenty of great men in the bible that did wrong but repented like King David,God knows that we as people can not be perfect but thats what he wants,we are clay and he is the potter he is molding and shaping our lives everyday.Mr Cameron realize that we are not perfect and neither is he.

Silly, Unintelligent Arguments. Contains Spoilers.
PatrickLangille27 September 2006
Warning: Spoilers
Mr. Comfort and Mr. Cameron are a shame to Christianity. Their arguments for the Bible are based on a lack of understanding of evolutionary theory and a lack of knowledge of genetic engineering. For example, their infamous "Banana: The Atheist's Nightmare" segment, they claim that the banana is proof of a divine, "intelligent designer". The fallacy of this idea is that bananas are humanly engineered to be the way they are, only in the last hundred years have they reached the point they are now.

Beyond that, the programme shows the least intelligent people possible. The show is also offensive to atheists, homosexuals etc. In one segment, Mr. Cameron actually tells a group of homosexuals that they're going to hell for their orientation. No one should watch this programme, except for it's comedic value, the arguments are just that idiotic.

Tell others about God and His kingdom using the method Jesus used!
cpittjx26 April 2004
This is so awesome and everyone should check it out. Why? Because you will quickly learn what is most important in life and how to share that with others. If you saw someone drowning would you would try to save them if you knew you could. However if they did not think you were drowning and you came and pulled them out of the water they would get angry. As a Christian you are in this same situation. Most people do not realize they are drowning (headed for hell) and need to be saved.

In this video you will learn how to show them they are drowning and need to be saved. Only then will they repent and trust in Jesus Christ to save them from the punishment of their sins.

What a joke...
EdgeRatedRSuperstar20 September 2009
this "show", just like every creationist one, is just one more blow to Christianity. they use no evidence whatsoever to disprove evolution, that they think is a religion, except the infamous banana proof which isn't a proof after all. kirk is just a moron who says "atheism is growing" and thats bad that people are getting conscious, and claims that christians are being censored. by whom though? So this "great show" is Christianity vs atheism not considering all the other religions around the world but just the Christian one. and i still cant get over the fact that they think evolution is a religion that ateists believe. when will they grow a pair and see that thats how life works instead of closing their eyes and ears and yell random stuff? 0/10

My way or the highway religion
bkoganbing28 October 2017
Back in the day when Kirk Cameron was teen bubblegum idol whose face and form adorned many covers of Tiger Beat and Growing Pains was the most popular show he got into fundamentalist religion. The producers at ABC must have wondered why couldn't they get stuck with an ordinary demanding teen idol who smoked a little dope now and then.

I wish someone would turn those silly questions on Kirk Cameron and ask him some things he might not want to admit to. Of course since he's got the word from Jesus he's going to heaven and you're not. I think Jesus doesn't do or like smug. That's what the Cameron approach is, my way or the highway religion.

You've got to admit that Kirk has certainly found a way to keep a career of sorts going when most teen idols last five years maximum. With his Kiwi sidekick Ray Comfort it's the message he delivers in these 41 episodes of Way Of The Master.

Tolerance, diversity are not to be found in the Cameron/Comfort vocabulary. Skip this show.

Very informative and effective.
awjeah_199924 July 2006
A terrific display of the lack of knowledge and culture that the average American has pertaining to anything other than popular trends of the moment and selfish personal pride.

The show does an incredible job of pin-pointing such a variety of people from the average Christian, to the non-intelligent person, to the very intellectual atheist, and even talks one on one with highly involved members of the church of Satan.

Kirk Cameron is a great speaker of the truth, and has tremendous insight into the real matters of today, so that he can talk to . He and Ray Comfort are regular guys just like the everyday citizen, who have taken it upon themselves to gain extensive knowledge about the Bible, and not let lame false generalizations of Christianity influence people. Both Cameron and Comfort approach each issue discussed with pure and simple unquestionable logic, that actually directly relates to the individual they are speaking to, instead of speaking over people's heads to where they cannot understand.

This show is not all about fire and brimstone, but rather about understanding that there really is so much more to life, and that everyone from the extreme idiotic to the overly prideful has a chance to become great, for they have it within themselves.

Great Show Despite other's Comments
sipedo20 July 2006
Unlike the first post, I like the show. As far as picking out stupid people, in one manner or another, everyone is either stupid or ignorant, including the poster. Kirk has chosen a path that he believes in, and for anyone to demean him or his program for that show's their inability to accept others. If you have ever lied, then you ARE a liar. Look, we are all sinners on various levels. When we as individuals realize that, then it opens up a whole world of opportunity. If we deny it, we are only fooling ourselves. I am proud of Kird for his stand on what he believes. Whether or not I agree with him. Personally, I am offended that his program appears on TBN. I veiw TBN as a horrific abomination against Christianity. But until we are all perfect, I guess we will all just have to settle.

Jesus is the only way
tookababy28 July 2006
This Christian television is a great way to spread the gospel all over the nation. Now is the time for all Christians to stand for what is right and that is getting the word out to every nation and country around the world that Jesus is coming back and it won't be long. This is the time to repent of all our sins and ask God to forgives and have mercy upon us. Jesus is the only way to solve the problems in the Middle East between Israel and Lebanon. God loves us and it's time for people to recognizes that God can supply all of our needs and will be with us until the end. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith and only wants the best for his people. In the Bible it says that "all things work out for the good for who that love the Lord" which means even at times of trials and adversity God promised us that he would never leave nor forsake us and everything will work out fine in life because we are his children, and God is not a failing God but an able God. All we need to do is trust and believe in him and God can do his part.

It is really sad that people would say Jesus is lame and that this show is offensive. Jesus died for me and you, even though you think he is lame, and whether you believe it or not. One day you will believe it, but by then it will be too late. Maybe instead of watching the show and judging it, you should watch the show and learn about the wonderful things Jesus did for us. Just because you don't believe, does not mean it is not true. And for the person who said they prefer hell, obviously you have no idea what you are heading for, but I'm glad you are looking forward to it. It's funny that those that say they don't believe in God are the first ones to call on Him when they are sick or in trouble. I will pray for all of you that you will come to accept the truth before it is too late.

Very Refreshing and Different
yvonne-rhoton28 December 2006
I find The Way of the Master very refreshing and delightfully caring about people's souls. I sat glued to the show about dealing with atheism, as I have a daughter who claims she had just turned atheist. I am very thankful for Kirk Cameron and what he is doing with this show. It's a fresh new way to reach souls, and Kirk Cameron' love for souls and his earnest desire to see them saved is so evident. It's just that spark of new that makes it unlike other shows and captivates me every time I see it. I vote that Kirk Cameron is doing a great work. Keep up the great work. Maybe someday in Heaven he will meet all the souls that he has touched and made a difference in their lives, or even helped save from hell. Thank you, Kirk Cameron.

Awesome presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
borce09110 March 2008
Awesome presentation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Christians should change the 'Gospel' of just 'God will give you this and that' and start preaching the REAL Gospel of repentance and eternal hell if people don't repent and except Jesus in their lives and hearts. We have watered the true message of God to the level of 'Please sinners, receive my little Jesus, because to be honest I'm not sure that I believe in Him'! Is that the truth about God? Are we true ambassadors of His Kingdom? I have not seen ambassador of a nation begging somebody, but just representing his nation. We are Christ ambassadors and His representatives in this sinful earth, and we should just tell openly the people about Him, and not beg them to receive our Glorious King Jesus. Without Jesus the people are going strait to hell. That is the core truth of why Jesus died on the cross, people!

Do NOT trust either THE RATING NUMBERS, nor THE REVIEWS...and I'll tell you why...
mbgrafix-483-75856828 June 2022
If you click on the IMDb Rating (the number of stars), you will see the graph that reveals the numbers. Right away you will see that the very highest rating -10, and the very lowest rating -1, make up the overwhelming majority of the ratings. The middle numbers come nowhere close to the two extremes of 1 and 10. THIS is why you cannot trust the rating numbers, nor the reviews. They are clearly artificial.

Why?

Because the topic of the show is Christianity, those who are very much against Christianity (haters) are prone to giving this show a very biased and dishonest rating due to their bias. Likewise, it is clear that many Christians in an effort to try and cancel out the dishonest 1 ratings from the haters give the show an artificially high 10 rating.

It is quite obvious that the OVERWHELMING MAJORITY of the haters who gave the show a 1/10 STARS and a scathing review either watched only a very small portion of a single episode, or more likely, did not watch any episode at all. Instead, they just added their 1 rating and scathing review due to their hate. Although many Christians (in my opinion) gave an artificially high rating of 10 to the show, I can confidently say that unlike the haters, no doubt the Christians actually watched the shows. Honestly, how many productions are actually worth of a 10 rating, indicating "perfection"? You can probably count them ion your hands. And so...although in my opinion the show does not deserve a 10 rating, I gave it what I considered to be an honest rating of 8. This is because I honestly believe that the show was VERY WELL DONE! Over the past 50 years, I have seen many "Christian productions", and unfortunately they generally have a well deserved poor reputation due to their overall poor quality, with a few rare exceptions. I believe that THE WAY OF THE MASTER is definitely one of those exceptions because the production is very professionally presented in the manner of what one has come to expect in high budget television productions. The sets, effects, cinematography, scripts, and even the two hosts, Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron were all really quite outstanding and well worth watching. Obviously, one goes into watching these programs with the understanding that they are presenting Christian ideology. As such, I think that anyone who is critical of the show for that reason is foolish as they are exposing their inability to be broadminded and able to think rationally. I've read many of the 1/10 reviews, and for the most part, any person of average intelligence can clearly see the bias against the subject matter... Christianity... rather than on the show itself. So forget the reviews, use YOUR OWN intelligence and watch the show with an open mind. Then, do enjoy the show just as I did!

reply to "Jesus is lame"

Have you ever heard of the ten commandments? Have you ever even opened a bible? What they are teaching is 100 % correct. Try viewing the program with an open mind instead of the closed mind of an atheist. Are you there at the interview with the "dumbest" people? What makes you an expert on what kind of people are smart or dumb ? "Ignorant Christians" ? Hmmm seems to me your are just ignorant to Christianity.... I suppose you think Dr. Marten Luther King is ignorant too ? Last i heard, he was a Christian.. along with many many others who I assume are a lot smarter than you could ever dream to aspire to with that closed atheist mind you seem to have ..

Well.........if you don't like it, why then are you watching? And if you prefer Hell, well then enjoy the stay.

These guys can practice whatever they choose to, especially if it is clean and wholesome. So go cheat, rob, steal, commit adultery and live the life of a degenerated slob. And turn the channel too next time.

I also find some of these things a little off kilter but to think that an explosion, or some freak of science put all this here is a little juvenile and presumptuous I would say. We live in a world of deceit and lying and filth, and when a few try to do something decent they get buried...nice comment on us a people.

Go watch Girls Gone Wild
