Rio de Janeiro, the directors and Jano, a "menage" of visions revealing the subtleties of a major not-exactly-third-worldly metropolis, below its touristic glamour, not a huge slum neither a rousseauan heaven. Jano, raised in a blue collar family, penetrates its secrets with his cartoonist eye and go through any prevention. The inhabitants work, date, go to funk shows, punk rock shows and even native music shows, they go to the beach, they pick disposed cans in the beach to sell for recycling, they drink with their friends in open bars (thanks for the climate), they try to get money from tourists in the tourist traps and so on. Great moments: the moment when Janot is addressed by an iranian who was his fan since the Metal Hurlant days when he used to draw Kebra, the punk mouse, they sit to talk in a truck and the truck owner arrives inviting them to go to another city.
