I work for the motion capture company that provided the MoCap to drive the TOMO character. What I found particularly amazing about the film, especially taking into account the rapturous comment on the CG on this page, is that the bulk if not all of the CG was produced by Paul himself, not Industrial Light and Magic or Pixar, but one talented guy! When we asked him if he was going to do more of this CG work for other people he said "No, I was just doing it for the film. I want to make movies". For us it was really great to see motion capture being used for a "hero" character, and not just for millions of extras, as in our work on films like Troy. The combination of his scripting and direction combined with the great CG work and our MoCap really works a treat.
