Chicago – Put it in the books. The highly successful and popular Asian Pop-Up Cinema in Chicago closed their 2016 Fall Season with “Round Trip Heart,” a Japanese film from female director Yuki Tanada. Ms. Tanada tells the story of Hachiko, a food cart attendant who works on the “Romance Train.” She temporarily goes off track when a mysterious stranger reads a private note from her mother, and insists on taking the buttoned-up woman on a journey to find that mother. Tanada appeared on behalf of her film at the final Asian Pop-Up Cinema screening for 2016.
Yuki Tanada began her film career in 2004, writing and directing the saucy “Moon to Cherry,” about members of a college porn-writing club. Other films written and directed by her include “Million Yen Girl” (2008) and the film that screened at the Asian Pop-Up Cinema, “Round Trip Heart” (2015). She has also directed adapted works from other sources, including...

Click each individual title for more details.
“The Assassin” was a sensation in 2015 at the Cannes Film Festival, and was Taiwan’s official entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the Academy Awards for that year. There have been A Lot of twists on Big Brother 18. Four returning players, two siblings of former players, teams, four competitions in the first 24 hours leading to an instant eviction, Road Kills, Battle Backs, Round Trip Tickets from a secret room, a county fair with an HoH advantage, a competition for a juror to return and five different Care Packages.
But now we've reached the end, hopefully, as the fifth and final Care Package dropped, giving one Hg a $5,000 Bb Bribe. With less than four weeks until the finale, I highly doubt the show will throw any more twists into the game after this one.
Spoiler Warning: This article contains Big Brother 18 spoilers.

The Cowards Who Looked to the Sky was one of Japan Cuts 2013's most-buzzed about offerings. The director of that film, Tanada Yuki, visits the festival this year with her latest feature, Round Trip Heart, a beautiful road trip around Mount Fuji and Hakone that teaches one young woman to take the road less traveled. The Lady Miz Diva: Please tell us the inspiration behind Round Trip Heart?Tanada Yuki: First, there was an offer to do a film with Oshima Yuko. I've always been curious about the work of an attendant on a "Romancecar" train. It's very unique work and I always thought Yuko-san would look great in the uniform, as well, so that's how it started.I'm also curious about those attendants and how efficient they...

While the concept of the glamorous female escort is ever present in popular culture, the image of her male counterpart - a male escort who caters to women - has been pretty much nonexistent until recent years.
With the exception of the Richard Gere smash American Gigolo, one would be hard pressed to name a single film that deals with the subject of men who provide services of romance and companionship to women; unless it takes the form of some random comedy films--Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, The Wedding Date, and Loverboy with Patrick Dempsey--or underground indie flicks such as Atom Egoyan's Speaking Parts, Just a Gigolo with David Bowie and The Man from Elysian Fields with Andy Garcia.

Dog food brand Pedigree is giving people the option of watching two different ads in cinemas, depending on what sort of 3D glasses they wear.
The two different videos, projected on to the same screen, show the consequences of whether or not the viewer donates to the Pedigree Adoption Drive, a charity to find homes for maltreated dogs in New Zealand.
In one video, a dog is rescued. In the other, the dog is never found.

Earth Day is right around the corner, and it probably isn’t any surprise that BBC Home Entertainment wants to help you celebrate. They have an amazing sweepstakes going on right now (see full details below), but with the release of Frozen Planet, I want to give you something to win right here as well.
It’s awfully difficult trying to compare to an actual Polar Bear Adventure, especially one that includes serious treks into Polar Bear country, dog sleds, and airfare, but I think I’ve got something you’ll be interested in.
As I’m sure you well know, when it comes to Earth Day possibilities, there are no shortage of titles available from BBC, and I have a great selection in store for you. As long as it’s Earth Day, we might as well take a look at… well, the Earth. While we’re at it,...

At left, L’Oreal Paris Studio Line Springing Curl Mousse; at right, Paul Mitchell Round Trip Liquid Curl Definer. Courtesy L’Oreal Paris and Paul Mitchell. Dry shampoo is now all the rage for those with straight hair who want to extend the life of a blow-out or hairstyle. But what does the same trick for thicker, curlier hair—those for whom stringiness or oiliness is not as common? The best solution we’ve found is a frizz-controlling mousse, like this one (above left): L’Oreal Paris Studio Line Springing Curls Mousse. We woke up with mussed, matted frizz—pillows and curly hair are natural-born enemies, after all—but after finger-combing the tangles and scrunching dry hair with a fluffy dollop, our waves looked as good as new. Forty minutes, saved. To pre-empt bad-morning hair altogether, try scrunching damp hair with a squirt of Paul Mitchell’s Round Trip...
