An excellent movie about the way corporate values and the forces of the market are twisting our universities, making them less accountable to students and communities and more and more fixated on the bottom dollar. It is a powerful movie, with great insight into the troubles of public higher education especially when it comes to governance issues. There is some moving footage of a student occupation and some great interviews with the students who were behind it as they reveal how they planned their action and got inside. The movie is a bit talky - a lot of talking heads and not a lot of action - but what they say is often riveting. I found it to be entertaining and enraging and would highly recommend it to anyone, especially students involved in any sort of anti global, anti corporate action.
At the end of this movie you really do walk away wondering, whose university indeed?
