Good movie.
Exceptional movie. Documentaries, movies and news coming out of Cuba at that time were incredibly. What the institute was able to do with so little money is incredible. It is amazing the level of talent in front of and behind the camera available in Cuba during the 1960s. It is heartwarming the number of international film folks that came to the island to help Cuba create important movies. I have seen other works produced by Leonardo Zayas from this time frame and the works, not listed on IMDb, are a testament to the producers, writers, directors editing and sound engineers, and actors of the island. This movie in particular speaks to that talent. Unfortunately the names of producers and other who eventually left the island were taken off of many of their works. So today credit for their work is few and far in between. Mr. Zayas was instrumental in the news production and in movies/documentaries during the 1960s in Cuba.It would be a worthwhile endeavor to have historians review the films of that time and do the work necessary to ensure these talented folks got credit for their hard work.
