Pitiful
My 31 Days Of Halloween got off to a horrendous start this year with this unwatchable excuse for a Faces Of Death ripoff, which will be quickly dismissed by even the biggest gore fans and shockumentary fans.
Zero budgeted, this is, quite literally, just a filmed autopsy, shot with a single, largely stationary camera, with only some occasional movement. I think the cameraman was nearly as dead as the body being autopsied. There is also a boring, clinical narrative from the pathologist... but other than that, and a humming or buzzing noise coming from the equipment, complete silence.
The video box is a generic red cover with white caricature of a skull, and black lettering, with the title, Phases of Death, in white with black shadowing. The label on the tape itself also displays the Phases title, but the on-screen title is, 'Basic Autopsy Procedure'. In 1996, apparently someone got this footage from decades earlier, and retitled it to make it sound like a Faces Of Death spin off.
I'm submitting this comment in the unlikely event that someone else attempts to look up this extremely rare, and worthless, Faces Of Death cash-in, because there is literally no information about this anywhere. Although quite frankly, I'm embarrassed to admit I have watched this, let alone have my screen name in its comment section, and that says a LOT coming from someone like me, who has reviewed titles like Black Devil Doll From Hell.
