I saw 'Envy' at the 2002 NY Independent Film Festival. I remember thinking that this was an interesting film. I think it was shot digitally and created quite a stir at the festival. It won the Buzz award that year at the festival. The movie was shot in wide shots too often for my taste, really taking away from the intimacy of the characters. It was a little uneven in some areas both in story and acting believability. The camera work seemed a little amateurish, but the director seemed to do a good job with what the material was. The music was Fab though. It made the presence of these two characters, played by one actor, even stronger. The lead actor, Russ Russo, really held the piece together.I have watched a lot of his work since and he really is hot, oh, and a good actor.I followed his work, but it looks like the guys who made this movie 'Envy' aren't doing too bad either. They got a lot of IMDb credits and I guess I'll watch for them and Russ.
