Too much banter & loud music
sandynolen31 March 2023
Most of this is great, but I can't hear the important part over the loud, staccato piano parts playing in the background? (foreground). Dialogue is too improvised, so it's hard to follow when I have a hearing problem, the accents are pronounced and voices whispered, dialogue uncertain and unnecessary. The Word is really all that's needed. That part is great! Constant piano is just distracting, especially the choice of music.

However, I have to say that without the Dove Channel, I wouldn't be able to complain. I love having this show to choose! I had been looking for more Bible dramas since I have ADHD and I can't read for very long without getting too distracted and I don't even notice it for a long time. Thank you for producing this show! I would love more shows produced of each book.

"The Living Bible" series is also called "The Life of Christ" and is available at hollywoodsattic.com and comes in a six part vhs tapes. i believe there are also 26 parts of the film not 24 but only 24 are included in the vhs tapes. the missing ones are"JESUS HEALS THE MAN BORN BLIND" and " THE UPPER ROOM". I was able to get a copy of "THE UPPER ROOM" at MODERN SOUND PICTURES(GOOGLE) on 16mm film . this series" THE LIVING BIBLE" is a great teaching tool and wonderful film showing the teaching and healing of what JESUS CHRIST did so long ago. This film touched me in my heart and i will treasure it forever. If you search hard and long enough you can find these old films. I am also looking for another great series"Life of St. Paul Series" by Cathedral films(there is another of the same title(british)i already have it.).It seems to have disappeared. I hope if you read this that you get the tapes and enjoy a truly great series

Production modest, but convincing and sincere about Life of Christ.
amc-cosi9 August 2003
This film is not a grandiose production, no possue gigantic sceneries as "King of Kings", "Ben Hur", "The Greatest History Ever Told", "The Robe", "Quo Vadis" and "Jesus of Nazareth" and nor he/she has great crowds as these films. But it tells the history of Jesus Christ in a faithful way as in the four Gospel according to Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Actor Nelson Leigh is as well as Jesus Christ, although he is a little static and cold in some scenes. This series approaches 24 episodes of Jesus Christ Life. This is a beautiful and pleasant series. I attended east films and I liked a lot. These are the 24 episodes of this wonderful series:

1- The Birth of John the Baptist

2- The Birth of the Savior

3- Childhood of Jesus

4- Ministry of John the Baptist

5- First Disciples

6- Thy Sins Are Forgiven

7- Woman at the Well

8- Nazareth and Capernaum

9- Jesus and the Fisherman

10- Jesus Teaches Forgiveness

11- Jesus Lord of the Sabbath

12- Jesus and the Lepers

13- I am the Resurrection

14- Transfiguration

15- Before Abraham Was, I AM

16- Last Journey To Jerusalem

17- Thirty Pieces of Silver

18- Betrayal in Gethsemane

19- Jesus Before the High Priest

20- Trial Before Pilate

21- Crucifixion

22- Nicodemus

23- Lord is Risen

24- Lord's Ascension
