The seventeen year old Peters. Oh, I'm in love!
silvercrowcafe5 June 2023
It's Evan Peters' film debut and he is so skillful in his craft you think it's his thirty six year old self trapped in a teen suit who is actually performing Adam's part.

In this movie you watch Adam, but literary you see Tate Langdon's evil stares and weeps, Jimmy Darling's and Det. Colin Zabel's drunkenness, and angelic face and weird silent stares of Jeff Duhmer.

The movie itself has a bit weakness in direction, dialogues and cinematography but overall it is fine.

The atmosphere is soothing and brings a sense of calmness and joy. Apart from Peters, Louise Fletcher (Grammy) and Bryan Burke (Johnny) do a perfect job, as well.

Recommended to both teens and parents.

Breakthrough Performance
elaborate_burn5 April 2004
Just saw this at the Phoenix Film Festival where it won the prize for Best Breakthrough Performance. It was by the 14 year old star of this film who plays Adam. He is an amazing talent and everyone should expect to see great things from him in the future. The plot was a little predictable and the ending was a dissapointment. Another one of those the kid ain't all right kind of sagas film fests love. Good direction, decent editing. Cinematography was only so-so. All the acting is great, though. Esp by Lousie "Nurse Ratched" Flecher. Kevin Sorbo also did a decent job with his small role. Made me forget all about "Hercules," barely. If this hits a festival near you, see it! And that's all there is to it.

Adam a winner
cometgirl0025 July 2004
My sister was an extra in this movie and I since everyone who worked on the film was invited to the premiere, my family attended. I was expecting an amateur low budget production, but was pleasantly surprised. I found "Clipping Adam" to be warmhearted and honest. True, it was cheesy at parts, but didn't adhere to that stereotypical "coming of age" junk the media constantly cranks out. Newcomer Evan Peters was great in the title role and the other leads were far from disappointing as well. From someone who grew up in the area "Clipping Adam" was filmed, the movie reflected the city's atmosphere delightfully; and I was impressed with its quality. Overall, "Clipping Adam" kept me watching throughout the premiere and if you get a chance to see this film, take advantage of the opportunity!

Go buy Clipping Adam... NOW
Lolitstaytay3 January 2012
I loved clipping Adam!! No matter what age you are this film is excellent for a couples movie night, family night, or just watching a movie by yourself. Evan peters is an amazing actor and if you loved him in American horror story you'll love him in this amazing full length film!:) Also, be sure to grab your smiles and Kleenex!! This will trigger every emotion you can feel, Especially those that you didn't even realize you had in you. Clipping Adam is an inspiration.. And it will be a movie you could see over and over again. This movie explains what it is like to change and what it is like to see people you love change and protect you. It shows the meaning of family and love without being a boring gooey movie. It's great, especially if you love a good emotional roller coaster. I highly recommend buying or renting this movie, it is one of the most inspiring and well done movie I have seen in a while, and deserves more recognition than it has received. GO SEE IT

In love with Clipping Adam
channingforever130 November 2006
Cliping Adam was perhaps the best movie I have ever seen. In fact I have the poster of this above and beyond movie right here in my home. The actors and actresses were phenomenal, but I think that the best performance in this movie was by the Director Michael Pitchittino. He has tremendous skills and I think he will go far with them. Evan Peters, who played Adam gave a perplex performance and so did Kevin Sorbo. I saw this movie at the Eclipse festival and it took my breath away. And it was a very creative and luring title in my opinion. Overall i give this film a 10 due to its dramatic plot and amazing screenplay.
