Call Girl review :

After Rehana Sultan's Chetna (1970), Call Girl was another film on same topic of a richie rich guy falling in love with a hooker and braving the societal odds..

Vikram is the gentleman here who woos the sexy Zaheera not knowing shes a prostitute by profession. Even when he comes to know, he stands for her and wants to make her his wife but but... it is revealed that his own father (Iftekar) had raped her before and driven her to the flesh trade.

Call Girl attracted controversy in its time just like Chetna did. The subject was too bold for the conservative society of those times. Naturally getting an A certificate, it started slow but picked up steadily to emerge a box office success. Unfortunately, the movie didn't benefit Zaheera at all just like Chetna didn't do anything to the career of her peer Rehana. Well, such is Bollywood!!
