This was a great documentary film produced by the BBC with director Paul Yule. Yule spent several weeks researching & interviewing the lead investigator in the case where a young gay man was kidnapped, beaten, & shot multiple times by three other men. The lead investigator, a Jason Waller, showed great fortitude in investigating this hate crime that did not get the attention as the less-brutal crime in Wyoming.
What was rather unbelievable to many, and Paul Yule's film brought this out, was that the investigators were not impressed with the three killer's defense that the victim was an openly gay man. They stood firm that the victim, Nicholas West, was a human being and that it did not matter what his sexual preference was - their job was to investigate the murder and bring the killers to justice.
