Omarion will star as a charismatic hitman with a conscience in a new original drama series from AMC Networks’ Allblk titled “Wild Rose.”

Created by Deji Laray, the series follows Roosevelt aka “Rose,” who “comes from a family of assassins that also happen to run a nonprofit organization,” according to the logline. “Behind the nonprofit facade is an elite, family-run, hired-gun agency known for taking down high-profile targets.”

Rose’s life turns upside down when his wife and daughter mysteriously walk out of his life and disappear for months. Suspecting foul play, Rose embarks on a journey to uncover the truth, unraveling a “web of secrets that force him to question his identity within his own family.”

Kim Kardashian is pairing with La La Anthony and Kenya Barris for her first-look deal at 20th Television: They’ll be adapting “The Love Playbook,” the New York Times best-seller co-written by Anthony, for Hulu.

The reality TV star’s deal with the studio will see her developing dramas, comedies and limited series.

“I’m incredibly interested in telling stories that are personal, complicated, relevant, from my own experiences and those familiar to me. Marques Houston is being criticised for saying that women his age often come with “baggage or kids”.

The 41-year-old singer and actor, who is married to 22-year-old Miya Dickey, was attempting to explain why he preferred to date women who were younger than him.

“A red flag to me [was] always with a woman that had a kid,” he told Page Six. “Nothing against single women, but single mothers with children are a red flag for me.

“I tip my hat and respect women that are raising children on their own,” he added. “But when I grew up, I never really wanted to have kids.

“I would talk to my dad a lot, and he would always tell me to have your own kids because you never know what the baby daddy’s are about. So if you’re gonna have kids, make sure it is with a woman that never had kids.

There’s nothing quite like when HBO is airing one of its trademark watercooler-worthy dramas weekly. Thankfully, we’ll get to it experience exactly that and more on HBO Max in March 2023.

The big ticket item on HBO Max this March is undoubtedly Succession Season 4 on March 26. Part prestige drama and part screwball comedy, Succession is about as fun a watch as they come. Season 4 of the series about egregious wealth will find the Roy siblings reeling after trying and failing to take down their father, Logan (Brian Cox).

HBO Max’s other major TV option this month is another weekly release from HBO. Matthew Rhys returns as the titular lawyer in Perry Mason Season 2 on March 6. Season 1 of this period piece reboot flexed the classic TV character’s detective skills. From the look of the trailer, it seems as though this is the year Perry makes his name in the court room.

HBO Max’s new additions in March 2023 will feature the season finale of a hit series, the return of another award-winning show, and plenty of classic movies for the streamer’s library. February 2023 saw the streaming premieres of Oscar nominees Empire of Light and HBO documentary All That Breathes. The month also brought the releases of the holiday special Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver season 10. Additionally, HBO Max’s February and March streaming titles include two 2023 Best Picture nominees: Elvis and The Banshees of Inisherin.

November can be a slow month for streaming services. Amazon, however, is entering into 2020’s penultimate month with some steam.

Amazon is really beefing up its TV library in November 2020. Both Community (which arrives on Nov. 8) and Scrubs (Nov. 14) will be added to Amazon Prime this month and in the process complete the streaming trifecta: Netflix, Amazon, Hulu. That’s pretty impressive stuff for both shows. And then on the film side of things, November 1 sees the arrival of The X-Files: I Want to Believe, Twilight, and the Underworld franchise. Somebody didn’t tell Amazon Spooky Season was over and bless them for it.

As for the originals, Alex Rider is the most intriguing TV series here. That is based on the British spy novel series and premieres on Nov. 13 on IMDb TV (which is available to all Prime subscribers). That will be followed by Steve McQueen’s Small Axe series on Nov.

Amazon Prime Video has a whole load of new content coming this November, and the best thing about the large haul is that all tastes are accounted for, so whatever you’re in the mood for, you’ll have a lot of options. From Christmas flicks to action films to some classic sci-fi and horror, subscribers will find much to enjoy from what’s hitting Prime next month.

In today’s TV news roundup, Comedy Central announces the premiere date of “Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens” and BBC America announces “Doctor Who’s” Season 12 premiere date.

Bet+, Bet Networks’ new streaming service is ramping up production on its original content. Paula Patton is set to star in Sacrifice, a new original movie set for premiere on Bet+ in 2020.

Written, executive produced and directed by Chris Stokes, Los Angeles-set Sacrifice stars Patton as Daniella Hernandez, a highly sought after entertainment lawyer. The legal thriller tracks Daniella as she navigates the nefarious lives of her rich and famous clients. Daniella has a reputation that proves problematic to La Law enforcement, forcing her to be at odds with her sorority sister turned nemesis District Attorney Beverly Rucker (Erica Ash). In an attempt to protect her often unscrupulous clients, Daniella enlists the services of her resourceful assistant and a young ex-hacker and tech genius.

Paula Patton is set to star in a legal thriller for Viacom’s upcoming BET+ streaming service. The project, called “Sacrifice” is a two-hour film that could end up becoming a series.

Patton will star as an entertainment lawyer navigating the nefarious lives of the rich and famous. Chris Stokes, who wrote and directed “You Got Served,” will write, direct and executive produce, with Marques Houston as a co-executive producer and cast member.

“We are thrilled to have Paula and the talented ensemble cast join our first original film on BET+, as we continue to strengthen our commitment to quality storytelling while meeting our audience on all platforms,” said Connie Orlando, Head of Programming, Bet Networks.

The forthcoming streaming service has greenlit Sacrifice, a two-hour movie starring Paul Patton that will double as a backdoor pilot.

The original movie, described as a legal thriller, will star Patton (Precious) as an entertainment lawyer navigating the nefarious lives of her rich and famous clients.

Chris Stokes (You Got Served) is attached to write, exec produce and direct. Marques Houston will co-exec produce the Footage Films project, which shot in New Orleans. The movie will premiere on Bet's forthcoming streaming service at a date to be determined in 2020.

It was announced earlier this week that You Got Served 2 is officially happening. However, B2K member and star of the original, Omarion, has revealed that he will not be participating in the sequel. Chris Stokes is the man behind putting the boyband together and wrote/directed the original movie, which came out in 2004. Stokes is handling the writing and directing duties once more in hopes that they can match the success of the cult classic.

While You Got Served 2 is moving forward, it will not include Omarion Grandberry. The musician released a statement on social media revealing that he will not take part in the project. He did not give a reasoning behind his decision, but he also seems pretty hyped that it's happening. He had this to say.

Maybe you’re looking to prove two different movies are actually the same movie, so you match them up beat-for-beat like this Avatar/Pocahontas mashup. Maybe you’re aiming for maximum comedic effect, so you pick movies from opposing sides of the quality and genre spectrum, like The Wizard Of Oz and You Got Served. Yesterday, an eagle-eyed Reddit user spotted something very interesting in a recent TV spot for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Life. One seemingly random throwaway shot, featuring a number of New York City citizens looking up at something in the sky, was seemingly lifted from a shot that was originally filmed for Sony's 2007 superhero sequel Spider-Man 3, during a scene where Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man saves Bryce Dallas Howard's Gwen Stacy from being crushed by a crumbling building. While it's likely just a case of the studio using a random shot from their library to save money, this shot has also spawned a crazy fan theory that Life may actually be a prequel to the long discussed Venom spin-off.

The plan was not to write about how good Step Up is 10 years later, honestly, because the plan was to write about the idea that Step Up was part of an early-aughts wave of urban dance movies, wherein “urban” was a euphemism for “skimming off the surface of black culture to give edge to a movie about white people”. It’s almost October and that means Netflix is about to refresh their content with some new titles and by removing some others. There's this Roland Emmerich movie "Stonewall" coming out about the riots at New York's Stonewall Inn in 1969 that paved the way for the Lgbt civil rights movement. We discussed earlier how the trailer's cloying feel seems disappointing. Now we have a poster to ogle. I'll be: It does not get better.   Now, now: I have not seen this film. I don't know how successfully it will defy our expectations and present an accurate picture of the uprising. But I did have to check multiple sources to make sure this poster wasn't a fraud. "Tokyo Tribe, never ever die!" Oh my goodness, this movie is totally insane, wacky, absurd and terrible in every way, but so so so awesome. Is it sad that I look forward to defeating my first monster, only so I can utter the words, "You Got Served!" I know, I know, the movie was terrible, but I will hold on to that phrase for dear life. Regardless of my bad lingo, what's not bad is the ridiculous and over the top nature of Battle Princess of Arcadia's hack and slash combat. The game also scratches that "gimme that loot!" itch, and includes a robust upgrade and enhancement system to boot. You can swap your various party members in and out during battles, which are separated into three categories. Regular battles classify as combat, and have you and 2 others of your team taking on the enemy. Skirmishes are team vs. team, and sieges feature your entire team against ancient enemies, akin to huge boss characters.

For the last ten years, Harry Shum Jr. has shown his gifts for acting, singing, and most extraordinarily, dance, starring in such films as You Got Served, Stomp The Yard, and Step Up 2 & 3, and moving on to his most famous role, as “Other Asian” Mike Chang on Glee.

Unfortunately, he was always underutilized during his time with the show, but still managed to stand out. He still makes occasional appearances, but has moved on to more film roles (he played Booboo Stewart‘s gay brother in White Frog), and shows us reminders of his incredible dancing ability.

Today is his 32nd birthday, so let’s pay tribute to one of our favorite triple threats.
