The Phone Booth
pausebreak1 November 2004
"The Phone Booth" of 2001, only more stupid mistakes... the worst of which is saved for last. (I'm hoping it's just me who missed out something, but if I understood the ending correctly, then this isn't a bad film at all--THIS IS A FINE COMEDY!) The premise would've been a lot better than "The Phone Booth," and could've been saved, if only the film didn't morph into a BOMB right after the first quarter.

I stayed through the end, though, just to see what this flick is actually trying to be.

Warning: Several scenes may be too gross for some. And I mean TOO GROSS.

Takes courage to make a piece of junk like this...
trixxtr2 December 2004
I chose to watch this movie solely because it didn't have enough votes for a proper rating and that it was very short (82 min).

An hour into the movie, it still had nothing as of scriptwriting, directing, cinematography etc. It was an original idea, but that was it.

At the 68th minute, you find out who it is. And it's a sleezball guy who can't even play psycho. (There was bad bad bad acting all over the movie, like when the old lady says, "what are you doing? you can't take my car?")

It had one of the funniest climaxes of all. Very lazy scriptwriting. As I said, a good idea, but nothing, nothing more at all.

This film is cinema garbage. And what a waste of film stock.

Worst movie ever put public

The Ticking Man is without any doubt the worst movie I have ever seen! The ONLE good thing about this movie is that it ends – your suffering ends.

ALL "actors" suck, the music is horrible and at times so loud that the amateur dialogue cannot be heard. The "special" effects are as convincing as a 5 year old kid lying. We only live once don't spend limited life time watching this "movie".

I have seen a fair share of movies and I cannot find any reason for this movie to be part of the product line of Warner Bros. The original idea or plot is in itself rather original but the idea is not enough to carry the movie - good actors, or at least reasonable actors are needed. Now, compare this movie with The Blair Witch Project - another low budget but successful movie.

Almost as bad as Catwoman

Unsurprisingly shockingly bad. Shows what you get for £1.99 Surgical scene is like watching some crazed kid's experiment on their dad's rubber vagina that they found under the mattress.

Paul Schulz obviously has spent the best part of his life wanting to be, but however not quite becoming, Rob Schneider. He does though manage to act better than everyone else put together to the power of infinity.

And seriously, how much is fake blood? Or people who can act? This film is film so full of errors that it makes me want to puke. If Jack Bauer watched this film he would probably snap and go on that citywide rampage we've all been hoping for.

The people involved in the production of this film and do the honourable thing by implanting themselves with an incredibly cheap looking shitty bomb.

A fast paced, well done thriller.
JohnnyRob9 January 2005
This thriller is in the vein of Hitchcock and destined to be a cult classic. After the initial setup, the movie becomes a non-stop roller coaster with many twists and turns - you have no idea where it's going. A very original and entertaining indie flick.

The main character does an excellent job of carrying the plot, and you really believe the madness that is happening to him. The driver is excellent. His paranoia and ranting steal the scenes that he is in. Other supporting characters do an excellent job as well.

I was very impressed with the music. The score complemented the action tremendously and there is even a cool running montage like "Run Lola Run." The film was well directed and well shot. The editing was well paced and there is no "fluff" - Once it gets started, it doesn't stop until it's over.
