Plot Summary

This is the story of a young woman named Sita, who is engaged to a college professor. Rakesh, a spoilt rich brat comes across Sita one day and falls in love with her but Sita does not love him. In jealousy Rakesh gets Sita's fiancé murdered. In agony, Sita leaves the city and gets married to a rich old aged man and surrenders with the situations she has come across her life only to find out later that Rakesh is her husband's previous son from his previous marriage. Trivia When the film was first started in the fall off 1979 it was titled, "Aurat" and starred Rameshwari, Mithun Chakraborthy, Vijayendra Ghatge. The film saw delays for unknown reasons and the film's cast was changed. Then in 1981, Reena Roy, Jeetendra,Parikshat Sahni,Bindu and Pran were signed to be in the film. The film saw further financial delays the star cast was once again changed. Finally Rekha, Vinod Mehra and Vikram were signed. After shooting for 3 days, Rekha got Vikram thrown out of the film. Vikram vowed never to work with Rekha again. Rakesh Roshan was then signed for the role. See more »
