I have not seen this in a long time, but as I remember it, it is the best Paula Poundstone performance that I have seen. All right, I haven't seen them all, but this is better than "Cats, Cops, and Stuff," and that's saying something. It is less polished, but that's why it's better. Less polished means somewhat more spontaneous and, as anyone who has heard Paula on NPR's "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" knows, spontaneous Paula is a good thing.
Naturally, she talks about college life, classes, and so on. (If memory serves) there is some of her usual material. There is a good deal of political humor, well chosen for a college crowd that one can expect to lean liberal. There is a bit in which she uses someone's cell phone to call the roommate of somebody in the audience; that, necessarily, relies on Paula's spontaneous wit, and is killer funny. Other comics have done this, but here is that first place I saw it done.
See this, but be ready for a sore belly from all the laughing.
