Astoundingly bad soft-core porn
The_Void9 November 2008
In 2003, the amusingly named Johnny Crash made what is probably Seduction Cinema's best film with the soft-core spoof Spiderbabe. He also made this film. That 70's Girl is a fifty minute soft-core lesbian flick involving a hippy chick and two sisters. Ashleigh and Jennifer are siblings looking for a new flatmate; and end up getting one in the form of Petal, a 'turned on' hippy chick. She moves in and soon bends the sisters round to her way of thinking. The film features basically no plot at all aside from the base and after that it's just a collection of soft-core situations. There's two shower scenes; both of which are highly overlong and two sex scenes; again highly overlong, and these four scenes make up most of the movie. Of course, we do get a good central cast; headed by Mirty Mundae and featuring Julian Wells, Kelli Summers and A.J. Khan, but that's really the only positive. The script is astoundingly awful (even by soft-core standards) and Misty Mundae in particular just looks awkward delivering lines from it. Of course, most people tuning into this will just want some lesbian sex; but believe it or not, the lesbian sex in this movie is actually rather boring. The whole "seventies" style is rather pathetic and to be honest, I wouldn't recommend wasting even fifty minutes on this film.

Better than a kick to the face with a steel toed boot.

Warning: Spoilers
Not by much, but what do you want from soft-core? Misty Mundae and AJ Khan are perfect, even if AJ doesn't have her nipple rings, as two fun loving hippies. Julain Wells again plays the straight(mostly) woman to sufficient effect. Kelli Summers tries and fails to act. John Link is creepy and can't really act either. The slow motion sex scenes are worse in slow motion, although once I pushed fast forward, to get them moving at a more normal speed, they were more enjoyable. The short running time is a plus considering that most of these movies only think of plot in terms of bridging sex scenes. It is somewhat amusing if you put your brain on low cruise control. Consider this, Cinemax turned this down for a late night series. I could erase the rest of the comment and the point should still be clear.

Rainy days and Mundaes always bring me down

Warning: Spoilers
*SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT*

"That 70's Girl" is a complete and total rip-off. The filmmakers should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of boneheaded suckers like me. They even knew they were ripping the viewers off and tried to make up for it by including some retro Swedish sexploitation monstrosity on the DVD. "Dr. Christina goes to Finland" or something. I didn't pay for Dr. Christina. I wanted the Seduction babes to do their thing! Almost every sex scene in "That 70's Girl" is filmed in slow motion. You know why? Because if it wasn't the movie would have been 15 minutes long! Egad. Terrible.

Let's do the rundown. Misty Mundae - Flat chested but tries her best. AJ Khan - Is hot enough and horny enough to star in her own Emmanuelle movies. Kelli Summers - A complete blank slate. She may be one of the worst actresses I have ever seen but, when she took her top off, I understood why she was in this film. Julian Wells - The best scene in the movie had Wells giving herself a rubdown in the shower. I especially liked the soap falling out of the bellybutton. I'm not sure why. But since I don't really go for scenes like that I can officially declare "That 70's girl" as a dead zone of softcore erotica.

It's not great. You'd be better off finding something else. Only real thing that can attract anyone is Misty's shower scene. It's long, casual masturbation, Misty sure is clean afterwards but the reason to see it is her armpit hair in keeping with the 70's girl hippy vibe. Dunno, did it for me. Certainly that hippie chick we would all like to pick up. Certainly worth it for Misty fans (About 9 minutes in)

Another shower scene and 3 lesbian scenes one with AJ, one threesome and one foursome but the action swaps between the partners too much.

In all it's rather mediocre. Like I said it's just for Misty fans to see her with some armpit hair in the shower.

Shame really, Misty's premise kinda plays off, script lays it on a bit thick but the credits showed premise as did the shower scene (It's worth a peek) AJ is also good but again let down by the script and softcore background. Less said about the other two the better, one is the strict down to business woman and the other is more laid back... safe to say they both fall for Misty's charms (Or pot brownies)

Could certainly have done with being expanded on, lengthened and use of a cameraman without ADHD. But that's the issue with most of the films Misty is in.

Very entertaining, if you are a fan of Seduction Cinema....
B-MovieDork23 October 2004
Oddly enough, this seriously was intended to be the pitch pilot for a syndicated series on Skinemax. But it was a good thing Johnny Crash decided to quit while he was ahead (or perhaps was turned down). But this is only about 45 minutes long, and very silly and entertaining. The sex scene between Misty Mundae and A.J. Kahn goes on for a little too long, but other than that, this has very fun, goofy dialogue and is not too drawn out or meant to be taken very seriously. BUT, if you're not a fan of Seduction Cinema or softcore "erotica", then this is just going to seem like another silly girl-on-girl late night cable movie. Definitely not for everyone, but those it's intended for will most likely be amused.

OH, not to mention the DVD also includes sexploitation master Nick Philips's 70's flick, Dr. Christina of Sweden. Not his best film, but definitely watchable. If you like this movie, then i strongly recommend Seduction Cinema's double feature DVDs "Roxanna" and "Lustful Addiction".
