A sophisticated picture of married life

An excellent, strong picture. It is not a romance, but a sophisticated picture of married life. The young people are on the verge of separation, but postpone proceeding in order to put no damper on a younger sister's wedding. After the pretty wedding, they come back to the house together. There is rice on the woman's hat. It is too much for them and the disagreeable tangle into which they had managed to bring themselves is smoothed out. It is played very well by Miss May Buckley and Mr. Jack Holliday, but the former is especially commendable in this part which is suited to her. The photographs and scenes are beautiful. The books in the library ought not to have been so dry looking. No woman would choose such volumes, law books, agricultural reports, etc.; the man wasn't that kind. The scenario very wisely uses humor to save the situation, just as in life. We liked it, as did others. It's a feature, a fine feature for cultivated people. - The Moving Picture World, April 13, 1912
