PIGLETS (Ferkel)

Aspect ratio: 1.66:1

Sound format: Mono

(Short film)

Two horny guys (Christoph Marti and Tobias Bonn) are interrupted during lovemaking by Marti's interfering grandmother (Andreja Schneider), who refuses to leave them in peace.

Fast-paced comedy, in which Marti hurtles around the apartment - almost completely naked - in a desperate effort to restrain his defiant grandmother, who knowingly disrupts the young man's lovemaking pleasures (watch out for the rude visual gag when Schneider relieves Marti of the condom he's wearing - with her teeth!). Small and slight, Luc Feit's impressive film is fast as lightning, though it's really too short (3 minutes) to make a lasting impression.

Mediocre in every regard

Warning: Spoilers
This is a German short movie from over 15 years ago that runs for almost 3 minutes only. Two men have sex and get constantly disturbed by the noise from the next room. It's an old woman in there and it seems she does it on purpose because she does not disagree with homosexuality. Yet despite this homophobia, this is not a drama, it's actually a funny movie. The man going out there naked below the waist does clearly provoke her further in his attempts to shut her up. Pay attention to how she is not talking, just making noise. The old song in the background is nice, elevates the film and the piglets in the last shot are pretty cute too. Other than that, this movie has nothing to offer really. The art direction and set decoration are probably better than the script and there is no range required from anybody involved either. It feels more like a television commercial to me to be honest. You don't need to speak German to understand this short film, unless you want to understand the lyrics of the song. There is no dialog in here. Not a must-see by any means. All in all it wasn't bad, but not memorable either. Impressively enough, both filmmakers here and the actress who plays the granny (I thought it was a male actor actually) are still having very prolific careers. I guess they must have improved a lot since this was made
