- Many close-up shots of suggestive dancing; shaking breasts and grinding.
- James tries to force himself on Katey. This scene is mild, as he is only trying to kiss her, but it is considered sexual assault.
- During a dance montage, Javier slides his hand down Katey's chest between her breasts. She pushes him off twice, but laughs.
- Katey and Javier have sex in a tent. Katey is shown unbuttoning and sliding off Javier's shirt (he's wearing a deigo tee underneath) and Javier kisses Katey's hand and arm sensually. A silhouette of them laying down is shown, but nothing graphic. The next morning he is shirtless and she's wearing his shirt.

- Katey argues with her mother, and her mother smacks her across the face.
- Carlos, Javier's brother, attempts to perform an assassination at the New Years dance contest. A police officer takes him in the kitchen and puts him on his knees, about to execute him. Javier arrives in the nick of time and slams the cop against a cooling rack, then he and Carlos throw him against an oven, knocking him out.
