- Jatin and Karishma, who meet each other on a plane to India, are set to marry the partners chosen by their respective parents. However, they find themselves attracted to each other.
- Two young Indians, a male named Jatin, and a woman named Karishma, meet on an airplane, who is on it's way to India. Jatin is returning home to get married to a woman named Jaya, who has been chosen for him by his mother. Karishma is also returning to India to get married to an Indian named Nimesh. Their paths cross, and despite of the difference in their temperaments, both are attracted to each other. Both would like to get married, but also realize and stand by their commitment to Jaya and Nimesh. - Jatin (Fardeen Khan) has completed his MBA in U.S. and agrees to marry Jaya (Sonali Kulkarni), a girl of his mother has chosen for him. He has never seen Jaya but agrees because he loves his mother and cannot let her down. Then he bumps into hot-tempered Karishma (Amrita Arora) on the way. They develop instant dislike for each other but become friends over the journey. But they realize they have fallen in love with each other only after going their separate ways.—Soumitra
- Jatin is a successful Non-resident Indian in the U.S. He has come of age, and his parents decide he should get married. They go to see a suitable girl for him, and find her in Jaya Patel. They contact Jatin to come and get married, to which he agrees. On the way to India, he meets with Karishma, who is also on her way to India to get married to Nimesh.
