The action horror film Hex, directed by the filmmaking duo of Chris Johnston and Andy Malchiodi in their feature debut, has been given a DVD and digital release courtesy of Lionsgate, and we’ve gotten our hands on the trailer for Hex to help you decide whether or not this is something you would like to watch. You can check it out in the embed above.
Hex was scripted by Hans Rodionoff, whose previous credits include The Skulls II, Saint Sinner, The Hollow, Man-Thing, Lost Boys: The Tribe, Lost Boys: The Thirst, Deep Blue Sea 2, and episodes of The Goldbergs. For this one, Rodionoff crafted the following story:
Six extreme thrill-seekers get more excitement than they can handle in this intense, pulse-pounding action-horror tale. Loner Sarah joins a team of skydivers to help them execute a dangerous formation jump called “The Hex,” ignoring warnings that the act may be cursed.

Clive Barker has been busy mystifying audiences for decades. From his Books of Blood, which served as his grim entrance into the literary world to his masterful artwork and infectious film adaptations, the man has done more for the world of the macabre than 99% of his contemporaries. Hes created iconic villains like the Candyman, Pinhead and Mahogany, captured the imaginations of young adults with wonderful comic book additions Saint Sinner a…...

In 1987 the horror genre was dominated by the slasher fad of that decade. Zombies were mostly something seen only in Italian gorefests with the name Fulci attached. Ghosts and supernatural films were few and far between. Vampires ... well, vampires had been neutered and reduced to whiny flouncy boys by the likes of Anne Rice.
Seemingly out of nowhere came a film that introduced a young audience to a new, hip breed of bloodsucker in The Lost Boys. These vamps, while retaining the inherent sexiness of Rice’s Louis and Lestat, were, by their actions, a callback to the more vicious creatures made popular by the likes of people like Christopher Lee. The Lost Boys was nothing short of a cultural phenomenon and a film that served as a touchstone for the zeitgeist of the time.

The synopsis for The Sickness here:
"One day, part of the world goes mad, completely, insane! They have the sickness! A few survivors from the area escape to a farmhouse barn with hordes of rabid crazed people right outside and all around the area. They are hungry for flesh and blood. Many have lost loved ones and family members during this process called survival. It is truly a sad day and many fear it could also be their last day.

A new Clive Barker novel is always something to be excited about, but if you're like us then you'd agree that his short stories are where it's at. In our opinion his Books of Blood were some of his best works so hearing that he's putting the final polishes on his new short story collection, Black is the Devil's Rainbow, makes us that much more excited...
“Research day for polishes on a novella for the collection of short fiction to be delivered soon:’ Black is The Devil’s Rainbow.’“
It’s been quite some time since we’ve had a new collection of Barker short fiction, so naturally this is pretty exciting.
Creepy dug deeper and found out what the collection was about courtesy of Revelations, the official Barker website.

Clive Barker prepping a new short story collection is both good and big news for fans. Sometimes news sneaks out of the weirdest place nowadays.
Earlier this evening Barker posted the following from his Twitter account: "Research day for polishes on a novella for the collection of short fiction to be delivered soon: 'Black Is the Devil's Rainbow'."
What's that, you ask? With a little bit of digging, the following came up on the official Clive Barker Info Site:
Black Is the Devil's Rainbow: Tales of a Journeyman
...These stories were originally intended to accompany the 'Pinhead vs. Harry' novella which grew into the full-size novel now known as 'The Scarlet Gospels'. Originally planned a decade ago as providing a home for all the previously uncollected short stories, together with a whole bunch of new pieces of short fiction, this has recently taken on a more important role in collecting Clive's meditations,...
