The audience is meant to believe the Charlton Heston sit-down interview was done in a brief sitting yet there's a clock behind Heston that shows much more time went by and certain parts were selectively edited.

The film claims that that Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold attended a bowling class on the morning of the massacre. This is incorrect as testified in a judicial review.

Contrary to what Michael Moore says, Matt Stone did not attend Columbine High School.

The "Brief History of America" segment includes the assertion that early Americans burned suspected witches. No accused witches were burned in America. The most frequently employed method of execution was hanging.

The cashiers at K-Mart are not trained nor are they required by company policy to check the identification and credentials of each customer that buys ammunition. This is because they have stores worldwide and the laws for selling ammunition are different per state and country, and can change on an annual basis.

Moore at one point shows a B-52 memorial at the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, claiming "The plaque underneath it proudly proclaims that this plane killed Vietnamese people on Christmas Eve 1972."

Here's what the plaque actually reads: "B-52D Stratofortress. 'Diamond Lil.' Dedicated to the men and women of the Strategic Air Command who flew and maintained the B-52D throughout its 26-year history in the command. Aircraft 55-083, with over 15,000 flying hours, is one of two B-52Ds credited with a confirmed MIG kill during the Vietnam Conflict Flying out of U-Tapao Royal Thai Naval Airfield in southern Thailand, the crew of 'Diamond Lil' shot down a MIG northeast of Hanoi during 'Linebacker II' action on Christmas Eve, 1972."

As Charlton Heston walks away from Michael Moore in the final interview, the scene cuts repeatedly between Heston (point of view from behind Moore) and Moore (point of view from the stairs directly in front of Moore) holding a photo of the slain Flint, Michigan girl and asking Heston to look at it. When the POV is of Moore holding the photo, there is clearly no cameraman anywhere behind him. The same with the POV of Heston, there is clearly no cameraman anywhere in front of Moore. So the two POVs were not filmed simultaneously as the film implies.

A clip of a Godzilla-type monster roaring is shown while showing gun-related death rates for Japan. The clip, however, is from Gorgo (1961), which was a UK production.

During the sequence about potential causes of violence, Moore mentions that most violent video games are made in Japan. It shows a clip from Mortal Kombat (1992). This series, while containing some Asian themes, is actually the product of Chicago-based Midway games.
