Millicent and Dusting become trapped on a school excursion to the Sparkling Star Bottle works. Fearful, they become convinced that thesaurus has been abducted by aliens.
Dusting swaps roles in the school play when he is cast as Don Giovanno to avoid kissing Millicent. Unfortunately Gilbert has an asthma attack on the night of the play.
It's Help a Needy Person Week and Millicent, convinced that Dusting is poor, is determined to help him whether he likes it or not. But when Thesaurus sleeps over at Dusting's, he discovers that Dusting's family is far from poor.
When Dusting's Aunt Ivy comes to town and Thesaurus' mum forgets to cook him dinner, the two boys decide to sail away to Africa. But when Roger tells Dusting a ghost story on the first night, Dusting gets scared and deserts Thesaurus.
Dusting and his Mexican walking fish decide to move in with Thesaurus for a few days. When Millicent paints Thesaurus' room pink to drive Dusting out, Thesaurus is once again caught in the middle.
Avril is convinced that the new P.E. teacher Mr Collins is about to propose to her. In an effort to win Avril away from Mr Collins, Gilbert decides to pretend to be French and propose a challenge to the teacher.
Millicent and Dusting decide to cook Mr and Mrs Thesaurus a romantic meal in order to change their mind about breaking up. Things don't go exactly as planned when Millicent and Dusting fight.
It's election time and Millicent backs Glen Appealing for class captain while Thesaurus backs Dusting. But when Glen prefers swimming over the election and Dusting is caught cheating, it's Thesaurus who ends up becoming Class Captain.
Millicent conducts a poll at school to prove that she really is a good person after Thesaurus tells her what he really thinks about her. Dusting takes it upon himself to remind everyone of Millicent's bad points.
Avril decides to try and take over Millicent's position at school. Dusting tries to save Chewbarker from Molly. Will Thesaurus and Avril become relatives?
Molly offers to help prove to Max that he is not adopted - in exchange for a rabbit. Thesaurus' dad and Avril's mum being dating and Thesaurus is forced to sleep in Avril's laundry.
Thesaurus attends the school fancy dress party as the rear end of Dusting's horse costume. But when Thesaurus sprains his ankle, it's Dusting who gets the nasty surprise - he'll have to dance with Millicent.
