- At one point in the film, Isabelle's genitals are shown in a graphic closeup shot. Then, the camera pans over her naked body. * Please note, the afore mentioned scene of Eva Green's genitals/labia has been cut from the version currently showing on HBO.
- Isabelle, who is topless strips Matthew and his penis half-erect at the front of Isabelle.
- The film centers around the sexual relationship between an American, a sister and brother. There are incestuous overtones and there is a lot of full-frontal nudity, played by the actors Louis Garrell, Michael Pitt and Eva Green.
- A naked man and a topless woman are seen asleep together. (rear male nudity)
- A man stands bathing with another man and a woman in the room. He is facing mostly away from the camera, but there is a blurry mirror in front of him.
- A man changes out of wet clothes. (rear and partial front nudity)
- A man masturbates while faced away from the camera in front of another man and a woman. She lifts his shirttail up and once the others leave, she wipes the semen with her hand.
- A naked woman is riding a guy and her breasts are shown.
- Matthew is sucking Isabelle's toe and the camera moves from there to her face, revealing her genitals, pubic hair and both breasts in the process. There is an extreme close up of her genitals for an elongated period of time. Matthew kisses her pubic area and then moves up to kiss her breast.

- Isabelle cooks dinner wearing a see-through negligee. Her nipples are visible.
- A man leaves and walks down to the courtyard in only his jacket showing his penis for a few seconds.

- Michael finds a suggestive picture of Isabelle, and hides it in his pants to avoid being caught. Shortly after, Theo and Michael are in the kitchen. Theo holds onto Michael, who resists, and Isabelle walks in completely naked in the doorway. She walks over to Michael and kneels down, removing his pants. When she pulls down his boxers, her picture is stuck on his semi-erect penis (which is visible in close up for an extended period of time). She and Theo laugh. Michael is then coerced into having sex with Isabelle. They make love on the floor (mostly full length, side view). She helps him in entering his penis in her vagina. The woman shows discomfort and cries as it is her first time. He caresses her and thrusts against her. Another man (her brother) comes in and then both men wipe blood from her vagina with their hands implying that the first man has taken her virginity. As the couple kisses, the blood gets on both their faces.
- Theo, Isabelle, and Matthew are discovered asleep naked by the sibling's parents. There is yet more female nudity (breasts, butt, visible genitals and pubic hair) when she awakens.
Violence & Gore
- We see the police attacking the demonstrators. They respond violently and water cannons are used. Molotov cocktails and bricks are thrown. Then, the cops beat a lot of people with sticks, but we don't see the resulting injuries, only people occasionally knocked down.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- In addition to cops beating protestors and rioting in the streets, there is an extended scene of planned suicide. (asphyxiation by gas)
- The suicide attempt fails when Isabelle is wakened by the sounds of rioting outside.
