Even the Sexiest Man Alive had an awkward phase.
Blake Shelton may be on top of his game this year, scoring the coveted title from People magazine just after topping the charts with his sixth career No. 1 country album, Texoma Shore. Girlfriend Gwen Stefani had plenty to say about Shelton's new status, joining the ranks of George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington, Channing Tatum, David Beckham and yes, even The Voice frenemy Adam Levine.
"What defines sexy?" she mused in an interview with Et on Tuesday. "I think somebody that is humble, kind, down to earth, talented, on the top of their game, should I keep going?"
Shelton may be all of those things -- but "humble" seems to be taking a back seat for the time being. Just take a look at some of his recent tweets, all accentuated with the hashtag, "#donthatemebecauseimbeautiful."

There’s a poorly kept secret amongst cancer fighters and survivors: we always manage to find each other. Though Charles Esten himself is not a cancer survivor, he is the caregiver of one. When the Nashville star’s daughter, Addie, was two-and-a-half years old, she was diagnosed with leukemia. But the fact that Esten's baby girl had to go through such a harrowing experience so early in her life has remained with him.

How many times had Troy Gentry and Eddie Montgomery shared the stage at the Grand Ole Opry House?

It was, said Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman, “an emotional day” for her group – an understatement, to be sure.
First, the Grammy Award-winning quartet offered a wrenching performance of the national anthem at the funeral Thursday of fellow Grand Ole Opry member Troy Gentry, who died last week in a helicopter accident. And now, less than four hours later, here they were in a park in downtown Nashville, accepting one of the city’s highest honors: a star on the Music City Walk of Fame.

Christmas has come extra early for Reba McEntire this year: She has just been gifted with hosting duties for ABC’s annual “Cma Country Christmas,” which will air Nov. 27.
Taking over the reins from Jennifer Nettles, who has served as host for the past seven years, McEntire says she knows “it will be hard to fill her shoes.” But of course the 62-year-old Hall of Famer is hardly a novice in this role, having hosted or co-hosted the Acm Awards a record 17 times.

Honest question: Did anybody tune in to Monday’s semifinals of The Voice Season 12 not knowing for sure which singer would be getting their vote? I know when I sat down to recap it up, I was decidedly behind Chris Blue. You knew from the get-go that Loretta Lynn wasn’t too keen on her landmark 85th birthday.
“Don’t sing ‘Happy birthday,’ ” the country legend commanded her audience after her first four songs at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on Friday. “This ain’t my birthday…. You know I ain’t but 26!”
Lynn paused, perhaps to reassess reality. “Aw,” she declared, “I could work any 26-year-old girl under the table any time.”
The capacity crowd roared, of course. They’d been invited to this indomitable icon’s birthday concert and were determined to throw her a party whether she wanted one or not.

In 1972, she recorded a country LP for Warner Brothers called Goldie, with the lead single titled "Pitta Patta." Although she had the help of country icons Dolly Parton and Buck Owens on the album, she ended up picking Hollywood over Nashville.
