Mark Baranowski was a frustrated screenwriter looking for a big break in 2001 when he emailed actor/producer Bruce Campbell, hoping to make a connection in the industry so he could sell his scripts. Campbell responded saying, "Don't look to anyone else to fulfill your dreams. Become a producer and shoot the films yourself." That inspired Baranowski to take his advice, but he had no money or equipment, except a VHS-C camcorder. So he decided to work within his means. He and his wife, Teresa, who adopted the stage name Ryli Morgan, would star and they'd use their small apartment as the set. Within days, Baranowski had written the script. To spice it up in the hopes it'll attract more attention, Baranowski convinced his wife to perform fully nude. She agreed because she'd never been shy and the thought of exposing herself on camera sounded exciting. They filmed the entire 35 minute short over the course of a weekend. After the film's release, it came to the attention of critic Joe Bob Briggs, of Joe Bob's Drive-In Theater (1987) and MonsterVision (1991) fame. This led to a great review of the short, along with Morgan being included on Brigg's website page of "webchicks," online models and B-movie actresses who weren't afraid to show a lot of skin, alongside legendary Scream Queens Brinke Stevens and Michelle Bauer. At that point, Baranowski started his On Mark Productions creative company. He and Morgan began producing more shorts and full length features, all starring her in fully nude performances. To help promote them, she began doing interviews for Draculina and other indie genre magazines, including posing nude for several photo shoots.
