Cute
Christmas-Reviewer16 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
After Kristin saved Kyle's life, she has been living with the Morgan family ever since. Unfortunately, she cannot remember her past, and has lost her immortality. Bill proposes to her, but she declines, as she says she doesn't feel right about the decision without knowing her family. At the North Pole, Rudolpha is secretly selling pieces of the North Pole worldwide to get rid of the North Pole, and to make Santa Claus feel he is being replaced.

Now this isn't the greatest movie however it works. Running 90 minutes the film is never boring. The film is also cute and family safe entertainment. There is no hidden messages in the film. The film is just about a girl trying to figure out her past. I will watch this again. Give it a try.

Better than the first one, but so's almost anything.
Victor Field24 December 2003
A sequel to the equally facile and stomach-turning "Once Upon A Christmas," "Twice Upon A Christmas" ranks with "Gremlins 2: The New Batch" and "Superman II" as one of those sequels that's preferable to the original - but it still isn't a world-beater. Fans of the still-lovely Kathy Ireland should seek it out, however, what with it being her last movie to date.

One year on from the events of the previous movie, Kristin (Kathy) has settled into life with the Morgans apart from her inability to remember who she was before she got there (she gave up her life as Santa's daughter to live with the family, and thus has no memory of who she is), and Rodolfa - her sister, and the Christina to her Britney - is still seeking to wreck Christmas as she nearly did last time, by selling off the North Pole a piece at a time. Writer Steven H. Berman puts a bit more emphasis on her shenanigans this time, and the movie's all the better for it; the humour makes it easier to get through, and the acting and FX are less inept here, which also helps.

But towards the end it gets sappy enough to have Michael Landon turning over in his grave, and Kathy's climactic speech to the world (don't ask) does remind you that an AFI Lifetime Achievement Award is not in her immediate future - and neither is "Thrice Upon A Christmas." Nonetheless, there are still worse seasonal TV movies around. (Like, say, "Once Upon A Christmas.") And the woman is still a dish.

A cheesy Christmas sequel.
OllieSuave-0074 December 2014
Model Kathy Ireland returns as Kristen Claus, the daughter of Santa Claus, is this sequel to Once Upon a Christmas, where she has to deal with her sister, Rudolfa, who is secretly selling pieces of the North Pole. She also wants to replace Santa's workshop with a casino.

The corning acting continues in this movie, with Ireland and John Dye, who plays Bill Morgan, not giving any acting performances that blew me away. Mary Donnelly-Haskell as Rudolfa Claus couldn't pull off a very convincing or conniving villain. And, you get those two annoying kids again along for the ride.

The plot of an actual villain though and Kristin Claus forgetting that she is the daughter of Santa were the only tidbits of intrigue in the movie. The rest of the movie contained happy-go-lucky stuff and unlikable characters. Overall, it's OK to overlook this movie as well.

Hated the "Stupid Santa"
jwhite0349 July 2013
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed the first movie in this series, "Once Upon A Christmas". But this second helping should have been left on the toy shop floor.

I expected the Kristen story line, it was set up at the end of the first movie when Santa (her father) told her she would remember the North Pole and who she was if she just tried hard enough.

I have liked John Dye ever since "Touched By an Angel" and the story of the tension between he and "Kristen" about her not knowing who she is and he wanting to marry her was excellently done.

As well as the "Rudolpha" character was written and acted, her storyline was too complicated, and went out of it's way to trash everything that is good about the Santa Claus story. I was insulted by the stupidity of Santa, the indifference of Mrs. Claus, and the simple corruptibility of the elves.

In face, these things were SO obvious, that I can't help but think that the screenwriters deliberately pulled some kind of a "fast one" on the program department of Hallmark Chanel in order to make sure this abomination got placed into the line up with the other, most excellent and heartwarming Christmas films that Hallmark is know for.

IF YOU LOVE CHISTMAS< DON'T WATCH TIS MOVIE! If you don't love Christmas, don't even waste your time, you will finish the movie wondering if you were clubbed over the head and had some of your brain taken away.

Lightning may not strike twice, but you can trust the aim of feces-throwing monkeys made to write scripts
TBJCSKCNRRQTreviews20 December 2009
I have not actually watched the first one, and hearing the plot described in the beginning of this, I am quite thrilled about that. This is also the only of Takács' flicks that I've caught, and unless there's actually entertaining(in the "so bad it's kinda good") crap among them, I certainly don't intend to change that. The holiday being immensely popular with gentile children everywhere, it is sadly also something that a lot of movies get made about and for, and countless of them, plain and simple, suck. This is one of them. While I truly wish that I could bring attention to something in this that is good, well-done, or at least shows a hint of promise, in spite of an extensive search, I have not located anything. Production value is non-existent, with the elves and Santa(who, by the way, has got so much jolly flooding out of every freakin' pore that everyone over the age of five will grow nauseous from mere seconds of exposure) wearing Halloween costumes and walking around whatever sets real films rejected. The effects are wholly unimpressive. Editing and cinematography are below average. The humor is stupid, silly, childish and never funny. Every acting performance is poor, and the characters are bland, one-dimensional cardboard cut-outs. The plot? Christmas is being ruined, because the North Pole is being sold. That's right, it's all about stuff! Yes, materialism! The spirit of what now? Who is responsible for this atrocity, not to mention pointing out that the Helpers probably ought to form a union? One of Mr. Claus' supposed daughters, Rudolpha(no, I'm not buying that as her lineage; I personally believe her to be the bastard child of Cruella DeVil and The Grinch... hey, the green, furry skin could be recessive), of course. And she teaches us several new meanings to the word pain when she, without any provocation whatsoever from the audience, performs one of the most god-awful songs that you will ever hear. The moral is about what you'd expect; I just find it hilarious that it's so vague that it could be applied to any number of beliefs and/or faiths that the parents of the potential viewers hate. There is nothing offensive about this apart from how awful it is, and some will loathe the completely religion-free approach that it takes. I recommend this solely to people with low(or no) standards. 1/10

Even worse than the original.
Wes5413 November 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Turns out that Kristin leaving her sister evil sister Rudolfa alone with Santa was a bad idea. Who knew?

It also doesn't make sense that Kristin would ignore her feelings and the fact that she has no idea who she is to fall in love with a guy who doesn't love her one bit.

Oh, and in this attempt at reviving the Christmas Spirit, Santa is a complete idiot who decides to just sit and wait for the Powers That Be to drag him off.

A very nice TV movie to see on Christmas Eve
ntsuno24 December 2003
To be honest, the first movie is a little bit better than the second one, but it still is a very nice movie to see on Christmas Eve. The story is predictable, Kirsten her memory is gone in the first part (Ones upon a Christmas) , and her sister will distroy Chrismas for the second time. Kirsten will get back her memory after some time. I must say, is stays very nice to see Katy Ireland on the screen.

A Christmas movie must not be a difficult story in the first place. I hope they will make a third one with this crew.

A Good Sequel
Jackbv12318 November 2017
I didn't think I was going to like this sequel since I was so down on the first one, but I was pleasantly surprised.

The story is quite original. It is still a bit preachy about faith and hope and trust, but the extremes of "Once Upon a Christmas" are toned down quite a bit.

The acting is better, although it still isn't real good. I reckon most of that to the fact that this movie appears to be aimed more at children. That means that the bad guys play a little meaner and the good guys a little more sweet and pure.

Kathy Ireland is undoubtedly a beautiful woman who can appear almost angelic, but she just tries to hard and it shows. Every line seems like she is trying too hard to sell what she is saying. The kids are good again. John Dye is better as the dad and boyfriend.

Some of the humor comes through better because it is less exaggerated.

Much of what I have found lacking is probably just what a kid audience needs, so I expect kids will enjoy far more than I did.

A Good Sequel
funky_cherry8626 November 2006
After seeing Once Upon A Christmas I wondered about what would happen if a sequel was made the answer came when Twice Upon A Christmas showed up on screen last Christmas. Kathy Ireland and the rest of the cast return in an all new adventure, this time around Christmas is in jeopardy once again. John Dye's performance in the first film was top notch proving himself to be a dedicated actor,It's a nice family film to watch on Christmas eve and Christmas day. A year has passed since Kristen Claus (Ireland) moved in as the nanny to the Morgan children Kyle (Kirk) & Brittany (Prout) since then she's become a beloved member of the family. But she can't remember that she was Santa's daughter or her old life, meanwhile Bill (Dye) asks her to marry him causing more confusion so the family decides to help out by finding clues into her past. Back at the north pole her scheming older sister Rudolfa, (Haskell) creates a plan to sell bits and pieces of the north pole and build a casino in it's place.

When things are on the brink of disaster Kristen suddenly remembers everything and takes the kids with her back to the north pole to save Christmas, foil Rudolfa's plan and make it back on time for her wedding on Christmas day.

A nice story with tons of adventure, magic and romance 8/10

Belief goes both ways
starshiplass26 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I remember the first time I saw this film because i thought the plot was so original and, once again, good prevailed over nastiness.

Seeing it years later I was able to see a couple of things I missed the first time (spoiler alert): Rudolpha's telephone conversation with Trump while he was on the golf course, about going together on a casino, and that he had brown hair at the time. The two sisters were as different as day & night! What wasn't made clear (or did I miss that) was how Kristin lost her memory.

Lastly, I had no clue there had been a prequel.

I Loved It
itsMADDIE20 January 2007
I know it's kind of sad, but I loved it! It's so much fun to watch with your family during the holidays! You can watch it alone, too but I watch it every year on Family channel and it makes you feel all Christmas-y!

It is kind of cheesy but I always enjoy watching it and nowadays cheesy movies can be appreciated like High School Musical. That movie is BEYOND cheesy but it's such a big success. This is a movie that the whole family will love. I recommend watching it! I don't know what else to say but I enjoy it every single time. It's so happy and fun you just have to smile. After watching it you'll feel all excited and ready for the holidays I guarantee it!

I would love love LOVE if there was a third one to this movie! So whoever wrote this please make another one! I wish I knew where I could buy this movie because I will! :)

Two thumbs up!

Great Sequel!
honeybear2411511 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
After reading other reviews, i've really gotta wonder if we're all watching the same movie! It was a very cute film, a great follow up to "Once Upon a Christmas" Granted, it was pretty predictable that Kristin would end up getting her memory back and get married to Bill, but it had a lot of twists along the way to it. The acting by Kirsten Prout definitely advanced from the first film, and the acting by John Dye, Kathy Ireland, and Wayne Thomas Yorke was great again. Like it's prequel, "Twice" is a movie that, as a mother of 2, i love to watch with my boys, and not having to worry about anything inappropriate popping up! Some people may call me crazy, judging by other reviews, but i have watched these movies every year since they have come out! I was 10 when "Once" came out, so these movies also brings back good memories of gathering with my family every Christmas and watching it!

Different Santa not welcome :(
rugle1114 November 2018
I really miss the Santa from movie 1; this guy looks or acts like nothing we've come to expect in the portrayal of Mr. Claus. :(
