At last!
JohnSeal7 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I found it: the last film on IMDb with NO user reviews, NO critic reviews, and NO user ratings. After all these years, how could this be? And is Spider Force a forgotten classic that only I have had the privilege of seeing?? Well, no, but it is chock full of gunfire, explosions, and blood squibs. Fans of John Woo will appreciate this Hong Kong crime flick, which also features lots of dry ice and a lively performance from Pauline Chan as police officer Sharon, whose uncle turns out to be one of the baddies. Is blood thicker than the criminal code? Watch Tai Seng's VHS tape to find out!

DEA effort was not mentioned enough
zzmale5 April 2004
The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Operation Uranus.

This movie is based on the true story of the counter-narcotic operations conducted by different countries via international police organization.

There is something this movie has left out: the participation of Drug Enforcement Agency of USA, because in reality, the operation was counter narcotic trafficking, since most of heroin in the world is produced in the Golden Triangle area bordering China, and Hong Kong and Macao are important transient points for the final destination to USA.

Since most Chinese crime movies are based on the true story that really happened in real life, there was the problem of potential exposing of narcotic officers and their family members when criminals compare the plot with real life, so the scene of DEA is eliminated as a result.
